Chapter 776 - The Crazy Woman Who Tamed the Sea

Yun Jin was thrilled.

The Swallow Sea Ice Python and the others were even more excited. They'd roamed the seas half their lives, but they'd never imagined there could be someone this stupid. She actually offered to improve their formation for them, made it stronger, and then told them to attack her!

What the hell was that? Was she asking for death?

The Blackwater Ape looked at his companions' delighted faces, wanting to speak but holding back. Three days ago, he'd been just like them—a naïve, carefree little beast.

And then...

That nightmare began. He really didn't want to remember it.

Now, Yun Jin's crazy antics were starting again. The Blackwater Ape no longer felt any joy, only a single desperate thought.

"Once this is over, please, let that crazy woman stop torturing me! Even if she just kills me outright, at least make it quick!"

At Yun Jin's urging, the grand formation activated.

The four beast commanders each held a formation flag. Once all their spiritual energy had gathered into the flags, they unleashed the first wave of attacks from four directions. The four attacks met and merged midair, their power clearly amplified.

The moment Yun Jin sensed that surge of force, her eyes lit up. As expected of a system-enhanced technique. Even the first strike was stronger than the fifth strike of the old version.

She calmed herself and quietly focused on the flow of the Dao within that attack.

This time, with the four formation flags resonating together, she could finally confirm it—there was indeed a formation master inside the Ink Sea Dragon Palace who commanded the Law of Surging Waves.

However, the person's mastery wasn't refined. The Law of Surging Waves hadn't been used to its full potential. With the system's help, the formation had now been completely optimized.

The attacks were getting closer and closer to the true essence of the Law of Surging Waves.

While Yun Jin was still analyzing the first strike, the second one came roaring toward her. Her eyes flickered as she created a massive water sphere, sealing away the first attack inside.

Then she focused all her senses on comprehending the second strike.

Soon came the third.

Then the fourth.

One by one, she sealed the attacks into separate water spheres. By the time she was done, nine glowing spheres floated before her. And now, the final attack was coming.

The improved formation could unleash a total of ten attacks, with the last one being the strongest.

A hint of anticipation crossed Yun Jin's eyes. Whether she could comprehend the Law of Surging Waves—it all depended on this moment.

As the tenth attack arrived, Yun Jin decided to raise the difficulty. She detonated all nine sealed spheres at once.

Ten attacks collided together, and the entire ocean surged wildly. A colossal vortex formed, swallowing Yun Jin whole.

The immense force sent over four hundred thousand sea beasts flying back.

The Swallow Sea Ice Python struggled to lift its head and stared at the raging maelstrom.

That woman was insane.

She actually made all ten attacks explode together! This time, she was definitely dead!

The Blackwater Ape stared blankly. That kind of destructive power... if he were the one caught in the center, he'd have been shredded into pieces already.

But that crazy woman—could she possibly survive?

Countless sea beasts watched in anxious silence.

Then suddenly—

The vortex changed.

The chaotic sea that had been raging without order suddenly began to calm, as if an invisible hand was guiding the waves. The furious ocean grew tranquil, and that violent aura faded away.

"What's going on?"

The sea beasts looked at one another in confusion.

A vortex that massive shouldn't stop until it destroyed everything in its path. But now... it was calm?

"Wait! Look over there!" The Blackwater Ape's frightened voice broke the silence.

All eyes turned in the direction he pointed.

The next instant, the entire place fell into eerie stillness. From within the receding waves, a white-haired woman slowly walked toward them. That alone would've been shocking enough, but in her palm rested the enormous vortex itself.

The maelstrom sat quietly in her hand like an obedient toy.

Yun Jin glanced down at it, a faint sigh escaping her lips.

It's done.

The Law of Surging Waves—she'd finally mastered it.

Her comprehension of the Primordial Water had reached ninety-six percent. Only after fully grasping this Law did Yun Jin understand how intricate the method of wave-stacking truly was.

Originally, her insight into the Primordial Water alone wouldn't have been enough to control a vortex of that scale. But now that she'd mastered this supreme Law, her power could multiply severalfold in an instant. With that amplified strength, she could easily command the sea itself.

Yun Jin smiled at the trembling beasts. "First of all, I need to thank you all for your help."

The four commanders' lips trembled.

Monster.

This woman was an absolute monster.

"Second," Yun Jin said with a mischievous grin, "I'll give you all a gift."

Without warning, she raised the vortex and hurled it toward them. A massive wall of waves surged across the ocean.

The sea beasts' faces filled with terror. Then... confusion.

They weren't dead. Everything around them had turned white. They could see nothing but endless mist—and no sign of their companions.

The Blackwater Ape instantly relaxed. He'd seen this trick before.

"This is a ninth-level trapping array, the Water Ripple Formation," he explained quickly. "It doesn't kill. Just stay calm. Don't attack randomly or you'll only hurt each other."

As he spoke, several beasts had already learned that lesson the hard way.

"Senior!" the Swallow Sea Ice Python called out nervously. "Senior, you trapped us but didn't kill us. Do you need something from us? As long as you spare me, I'll serve you faithfully!"

The python had no pride at all. He always sided with whoever was stronger—that was how he'd survived.

Yun Jin's ethereal voice echoed from above. "Stay in this array and cultivate well. After some time, I'll give you new orders."

Though these sea beasts weren't individually strong, their sheer numbers made them useful. Keeping them alive meant a steady supply of Emotional Value.

And besides...

Once the beasts inside the barrier finished cultivating, someone would need to spar with them, right?

These sea beasts were perfect for that.

Yun Jin looked out across the endless sea, eyes gleaming with expectation. Four hundred thousand captured. Surely now, the Ink Sea Dragon Clan itself would make a move. She'd already mastered one supreme Law, the Law of Surging Waves. There were still four more to go.

The Ink Sea Dragon Clan was powerful. Surely there were other experts who commanded Laws like Extreme Ice or Control of Water Element.

"Come on, hurry up and find me already! I can't wait to break through!"

Inside the Ink Sea Dragon Clan's palace, the atmosphere froze.
