Lucas POV
There was a knock on my room's door, sharp and insistent, cutting through the quiet of the early morning. I was already awake, my mind filled with thoughts of Iris. The knock startled me, and I straightened, wondering who it may be. "Who is it?" I called out.
The door creaked open, and a male servant stepped inside, his broad body filling the doorway. His face was emotionless as he spoke. "Alpha Aldric wants to see you," he said. "He's in the garden."
I nodded, pushing myself to my feet. My muscles ached from yesterday's training, but I ignored the discomfort, grabbing my jacket from the chair and shrugging it on. "Thanks," I muttered, brushing past him. The servant didn't respond, just turned and disappeared down the hall.
