After the golden light fell, the strong purifying power directly corroded and burnt a large hole in Aragog's body. Holy aura burst forth from the light, causing the surrounding giant spiders to scatter in terror from the radiance.
"Pain Whip!" Dudley showed no hesitation as his beyonder ability activated again, directly transforming his spiritual power into an invisible whip that lashed at Aragog's wounded body.
"Ahhhh..." Sharp hissing sounds continuously emanated from Aragog's mouth. If you hadn't heard it personally, probably no one would know that an Acromantula's wail sounded so utterly inhuman.
Under Dudley's devastating combo attack, Aragog was already severely injured, and both its mind and soul had suffered tremendous damage.
"Reducto!" Dudley raised his hand and released a spell, blasting it directly at the agonising Aragog.
Bang!
A tremendous crash rang out as Aragog's massive body was directly blasted away by the spell. Its carapace showed numerous deep cracks, especially where the spell had hit. It had completely split open, revealing the flesh and blood within.
"Kill! Kill you all!" Seeing Aragog severely wounded by Dudley, the surrounding spiders began charging toward Dudley's group with reckless abandon.
They were all Aragog's offspring. Watching their parent being attacked so brutally, almost all of them went completely mad with rage.
"Incendio!" Dudley raised his hand and reinforced the surrounding wall of flames, but he quickly discovered these spiders were behaving very differently from before.
They no longer seemed afraid of fire. Even if they would be burnt or killed by the flames, they still charged forward one after another, using the corpses of fallen spiders to extinguish the fire, then surging forward like a relentless tide.
"Dudley! There are too many spiders! We can't kill them all!" Harry shouted with obvious desperation.
They were already casting spells with all their might, but there were simply too many spiders around. So many they couldn't possibly eliminate them all.
Under the firelight's illumination, they could clearly see the distant surging ocean of spiders, like black waves, rolling toward them in wave after wave.
Even "thousands upon thousands" could no longer describe the current scene. It was as if the entire Forbidden Forest contained nothing else but these giant spiders.
"Damn it! Just how many spiders has Hagrid been raising here?" Ron cursed angrily.
If these spiders in the Forbidden Forest went mad and charged toward the school, it would absolutely be a catastrophic disaster. Did Hagrid even know what he was doing?
"Use silent spells to increase your casting frequency!" Hermione called out from beside them.
After using Hermes to cast silent spells, Hermione's casting speed was remarkably fast. Her spell output alone could match that of both Harry and Ron combined.
"But we're not very skilled yet!" Ron protested.
"Now is the perfect time to practise!" Dudley replied grimly.
He temporarily abandoned the blasted-away Aragog and began attacking the large number of spiders surging around them, greatly reducing the pressure on Harry and the others.
Harry said nothing and immediately put away his wand, beginning to silently recite Hermes in his heart to cast spells.
At first, he indeed wasn't very skilled, even slower than his previous casting speed. But as time passed, he found he was getting better and better at mastering this technique.
Under the intense pressure of the spider attacks, Harry unleashed unprecedented potential, improving at incredible speed.
Ron was experiencing the same rapid development.
Without realising it, both had skilfully mastered Hermes silent spells, greatly improving their casting speed and accuracy.
Click-clack, click-clack...
Suddenly, a group of spiders broke through the flame barrier. They stepped on other spiders' corpses and forcibly tore open a gap in the wall of fire Dudley had set up. In an instant, dozens of spiders rushed through, reaching the group in the blink of an eye.
Those massive black spider legs stabbed straight at them like numerous deadly spears, seemingly indestructible.
"Ventus!" Dudley's left hand swept forcefully, releasing the spell. Gale-force winds suddenly appeared, directly sweeping all these rushing spiders away, sending them falling dozens of metres back.
"Incendio!" Dudley added another flame spell, reinforcing the previously torn fire wall.
"I'll control them; you handle the killing!" Dudley shouted over the chaos.
He found that while Harry and the others had greatly increased their casting speed, their accuracy still wasn't quite sufficient. Combined with these spiders' extremely fast movement speed, this caused their spells to often miss their targets. Although they could hit some spiders, the ones charging at the front would always escape destruction.
In such situations, once these spiders charged to close range, it would be nearly impossible to continue casting spells calmly.
"Incarcerous!" Dudley cast a binding spell, and his wand tip immediately shot out numerous magical ropes toward nearby spiders, quickly binding over ten giant spiders in place.
"Reducto!" "Diffindo!" Harry and Ron immediately followed up, their spells precisely hitting the bound spiders, completing the kills efficiently.
Hitting stationary targets was much easier than hitting rapidly moving ones.
"Glacius!" Dudley cast another spell, and a blast of freezing air suddenly erupted, freezing numerous nearby spiders solid in place.
"Incendio!" Hermione added her flame spell, giving these spiders a devastating taste of ice and fire, instantly killing large numbers of them.
The four coordinated perfectly. Dudley provided control and binding while the other three used offensive spells to eliminate threats. Their efficiency improved dramatically compared to before.
In just a few intense minutes, hundreds of giant spider corpses had piled up around them, and the distant spiders had visibly decreased significantly.
Obviously, while there were many spiders here, they weren't infinite in number.
No matter how fertile Aragog had been over the years, it couldn't match the speed at which Dudley's group was systematically killing spiders.
"Kill you all! Kill you all!" In the distance, Aragog, seeing the field of corpses littered with its offspring, had gone completely insane.
It had lost all reason now. It had forgotten about not harming humans, about Hagrid's friends, about everything. Now it only wanted to kill these four people before it, tear them to bloody shreds, and feed them to its remaining offspring.
The next moment, Aragog's large pincers violently clashed together, making urgent clicking sounds. Hearing this commanding sound, all remaining spiders began charging toward Dudley's group with complete disregard for their lives, forgetting about survival entirely.
At the same time, Aragog itself charged over with suicidal recklessness.
"Dudley!" Seeing this final desperate assault, Harry's trio's expressions immediately changed with alarm. This had exceeded what they could reasonably handle.
This was the rhythm of mutual destruction!
Seeing this dangerous situation, Dudley's gaze suddenly focused with deadly intent.
"Get behind me! Now!"
