(On their way to Ecruteak City, Mew and her friend are passing a beautiful national park.)
Mew: "Hey, let's go check this out!"
(Mew says.)
(Soon, the group reaches the site of the festivities.)
(An employee shouts.)
employee: "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! There's not much time left! The Bug Pokémon Catching Contest is about to begin! Come one, come all! Sign up now at the registration tent!"
(Mew walks over and asks.)
Mew: "Does the winner get some kind of prize?"
employee: "Sure!"
(The employee says.)
employee: "They get a Sun Stone, and keep whatever Bug Pokémon they catch."
Mew: "Sounds like fun."
(Mew says.)
Tomo: "I wanna enter it too."
(Tomo says.)
Jen: "Me too."
(Jen says.)
(Soon, the group prepares to get in line to sign up for the contest.)
(Mew says.)
Mew: "That must be the sign up line."
Misty: "You, Tomo and Jen, gonna have a lot of competition."
(Misty says.)
(As the group talks, the trainer's Chikorita looks back and spots them.)
(The Pokemon belongs to none other than the Electabuzz super fan, Casey.)
(She turns to see them and gasps in shock.)
Casey: "I can't believe it!"
(and rushes towards them.)
Casey: "Hi, guys!"
Misty: "Casey!"
(Misty happily says.)
(Even Mew is happy.)
Mew: "It's you!"
Casey: "If I know you, Mew, I bet you're gonna sign up and try to win a new bug Pokémon. So am I."
(Casey says.)
Mew: "Tomo and Jen are entering as well."
(Mew says.)
Casey: "Great, the more the merrier."
(Casey says.)
(Then she notices Molly.)
Molly: "Special of that, I see you got a new friend."
Mew: "Right, Casey, this is Molly. Molly, this is Casey."
(Mew says.)
Molly: "Hello."
(Molly says.)
Casey: "Hi Molly, it's nice to meet you."
(Casey says.)
(Soon, the Pokemon begin to talk to one another.)
Brock: "Your Chikorita's looking really strong."
(Brock says.)
Casey: "Since the last time I saw you, we've been on a winning streak, just like my favorite baseball team, the good ol' Electabuzz!"
(Casey says.)
Misty: "Sounds like you're still a big fan."
(Misty says.)
Casey: "I sure am! I'll even sing you their new fight song for this season."
(Casey says.)
(With that, Casey waves the Electabuzz flag as Chikorita happily raises its arms.)
(Soon, Casey begins to sing.)
Casey: "Let's all cheer Electabuzz, greatest team of all! The players charge the field and Double Team the ball! They're the crew with Mega Punch when they're in a crunch! Metronome! Safe at home! Hyper Beam, too! Win! Win! Through thick and thin! Electa-buzz it's you! YAAYY hehehe!"
(Everyone is practically sweating drops.)
(Then Casey says.)
Casey: "The Electabuzz are riding their winning streak just like I'm riding my winning streak to win myself a new bug Pokemon!"
Mew: "You're not gonna beat me that easily!"
(Mew says.)
Casey: "With that attitude, we'll all try harder and I'll look better when I win! And I'm gonna do my best to win this contest for the Electabuzz!"
(Casey says.)
Mew: "Great! And I'm gonna do my best to win this contest for the Pokémon!"
(Mew says.)
Tomo: "Me too!"
(Tomo says.)
Jen: "Me three!"
(Jen says.)
(Misty giggles and says.)
Misty: "That's nice, but the blabbering is starting to bug me. Go register."
Mew: "Right!"
(Mew says.)
Casey: "I'll race you!"
(Casey says.)
Jen: "Cool."
(Jen says.)
Tomo: "Last one there is a Weedle!"
(Tomo says.)
(Then the four rush off to sign up for the contest.)
(Meanwhile, Team Rocket has arrived as well, and are barred from entering the contest.)
(Jessie is shocked.)
Jessie: "WHAT!? What do you mean you can't allow us to enter the contest?!
employee: "Well, the Bug Catching Contest is strictly for kids under sixteen, and you look a whole lot older than that to me!"
(The employee says.)
(Jessie sadly sighs.)
Jessie: "Hmmm... Let's see. How can I look like I used to?"
(and reveals Jessie wearing a school uniform with a miniskirt, knee socks, and carrying a school bag.)
Jessie: "Look at me! I'm only 13!"
(Next is James dressed in a blue jacket with a red bowtie, and shorts.)
(He giggles and says.)
James: "I'm 12!"
(Meowth is dressed as a baby with a pacifier in his mouth.)
Meowth: "Immm... immm... goo."
employee: "Uhhhh..."
(The employee says, looking dumbfounded.)
Meowth: "Bug-Boy ain't buying this."
(Meowth says.)
Wobbuffet: "WOBBBBBBB-UH!" (That stings!)
(Wobbuffet replies.)
(Jessie growls in anger at the employee.)
Jessie: "GRRR! We shouldn't have to wear these stupid getups anyway! Let us into that contest or, believe me, you'll be sorry! Make up your mind!"
James: "Yo-yo!"
(James says.)
(Again, the employee says.)
employee: "I'm very sorry. But there's nothing I can..."
(But Jessie snaps her fingers and says.)
Jessie: "Take him away."
(And with that, James and Meowth tie up the shocked and bewildered employee and carry him away.)
(The employee calls out.)
employee: "Hey, wait!"
Jessie: "Goodbye."
(Jessie says.)
(He then angrily says.)
Jessie: "And next time watch who you call old. I don't really look that much older than sixteen, do I?"
(Then looks back to see her teammates agreeing with her.)
Jessie: "Why doesn't somebody say something!?"
James: "You look like a baby!"
(James says.)
Meowth: "Yeah! A cute, little, wrinkly baby!"
(Meowth says.)
(And Wobbuffet says.)
Wobbuffet: "Wobbuffet! Wobbbb! WOBB-BUH!" (Bad choice of words! Really! YOOOOOWZER!)
(And Jessie smacks Wobbuffet with the school bag.)
(Soon, the contest is about to begin.)
(The official goes over the rules.)
The official: "These are the rules of the big Bug Pokémon Contest. Trainers are only allowed to use one Pokémon each. And to catch a bug Pokemon during the contest, you must use one of these special Park Balls. Only one Park Ball is issued to each trainer. Catch one bug Pokémon at a time, and when you think you have a winner, keep it. When time's up, the judging committee will decide the winner. Now, let the Bug Catching Contest, begin!"
(And the contest begins, Mew, Tomo, Jen and Casey head off to find what could be their big catch for the contest.)
(Brock and the others are watching from the monitor.)
Brock: "There they go."
(Brock says.)
Misty: "I guess these woods are full of bug types."
(Misty says.)
(Then Molly asks.)
Molly: "Do you think there are any around here?
Brock: "They could be anywhere."
(Brock says.)
(Meanwhile, Mew and the others are searching for Bug Pokemon to catch.)
Mew: "Keep your eyes open, guys. And your ears, too."
(Mew says.)
Pikachu: "Pika." (Okay.)
(Pikachu says.)
(And Eevee says.)
Eevee: "Eevee." (Alright.)
(Rustling in the long grass soon attracts their attention, and a Weedle slithers out of the grass.)
(And then two more pops out.)
Mew: "It's Weedle!"
(Mew says.)
(Then calls out.)
Mew: "Let's try a Thunder Shock!"
(Pikachu comes in and shocks one of the Weedles.)
(Seeing her chance, Mew throws the Pokeball.)
Mew: "Go Park Ball!"
(and catches a Weedle.)
Mew: "Alright, we got a Weedle."
(Mew says.)
