Hades smiled faintly, a little embarrassed, as colorful ribbons showered down on him.
The servants had gathered in the reception hall, their claps echoing warmly through the air.
Before him stood a woman with a radiant smile, the one who had arranged all of this.
"Welcome back, Hades!" she said, her voice full of affection as she pulled him into a tight embrace.
Hades froze for a moment, unsure how to react. He wasn't used to being the center of attention like this. Yet, hidden beneath the weight of his embarrassment, there was something else—a gentle warmth spreading through his chest at her touch.
His eyes wandered to Luna, who stood nearby, smiling at him with the same quiet warmth.
Thankfully, Peri wasn't here to see him like this. She had fallen asleep after her bath. Otherwise, she would have surely teased him for looking so flustered.
