"You just got promoted—what are you talking about?!"
The pupils of Kang the Conqueror vanished entirely, his eyes blazing with fury as he roared and unleashed a surge of terrifying energy!
It wasn't just a beam—it was a blinding radiance!
In an instant, a purple domain spread outward. Within it, dark flames ignited from nothing, twisting the very fabric of space!
This wasn't an illusion caused by heat distortion—the space itself was warping!
Any ordinary god-level being would be burned to ashes instantly.
The nearby dead planets melted into magma, then disintegrated into gas under the scorching heat. The sight was both catastrophic and awe-inspiring.
At this moment, Russell's entire body was also engulfed in violent flames, as if he could no longer endure the heat.
Kang the Conqueror smiled in satisfaction.
He was just about to sneer—until he noticed that while Russell's body was burning, his flesh remained completely intact.
The smirk on Kang's face froze, his expression shifting to shock and rage.
"Impossible! This is the primal flame of the Dark Dimension!"
He couldn't comprehend what he was seeing.
Russell, however, sneered, his voice dripping with mockery.
"What's so surprising?"
"You only hold a fragment of the Dark Dimension's power, and yet you think you can wield its full flames? Looks like the genius mind of a so-called conqueror isn't so sharp after all."
Russell paused, then grinned.
"Thanks for the flame."
In an instant, his body expanded to colossal proportions, towering beyond the size of a planet.
Now clad in crimson armor that looked freshly forged in the heart of a furnace, his entire body blazed with flames!
Compared to him now, the true Flame Giant stood before Kang—making Surtur look like nothing more than a candle flame.
Russell inhaled sharply, creating a vortex in the purple domain. Endless black fire was pulled toward him, devoured in a frenzied torrent.
In the blink of an eye, every flame Kang had summoned was consumed, feeding the Fire God's power.
Russell exhaled with satisfaction, feeling his divine energy surge once again.
"You're too generous," he chuckled, turning his gaze back to Kang.
"And since you've been so polite, I won't be stingy—taste my flame!"
With that, Russell raised his right hand, conjuring a miniature, searing sun in his palm. Its core burned at tens of millions of degrees.
Kang's heart clenched at the sight, an overwhelming sense of danger washing over him.
But he wasn't foolish enough to stand still and let Russell attack.
A massive blade of condensed dark energy formed in Kang's hand. He slashed through the air, generating countless black sword-arcs from nothing, each one cleaving toward Russell with destructive force.
"Still relying on the same old tricks?" Russell muttered with disdain.
His massive form blurred forward in a flash, closing the distance in an instant. The black blades, capable of slicing through planets, passed harmlessly through his body, leaving only faint white marks that vanished just as quickly.
Kang's eyes narrowed in disbelief.
He had fought countless alternate versions of himself across the multiverse, but he had never encountered a power like this.
In truth, Russell had subtly shifted his power. Beneath the flames, his body was forged from pure light energy—immune to all physical strikes.
Of course, he had no intention of explaining that to Kang.
At that moment, a massive barrier of dark energy erupted around Kang, inscribed with dense runic symbols.
Failing to wound Russell, Kang chose to fortify his defenses, hoping to find an opening to strike back.
But in the next second, a mirror image appeared in the void.
Russell stepped out from behind Kang the Conqueror's remnant form, breaking through reality from the mirror dimension. In his hand, he held a blazing sun, pressing it down toward his enemy's head.
The Legacy Kang's eyes widened in horror.
Energy surged violently within his giant body before it instantly exploded into a cloud of dark smoke.
Seeing this, Russell's lips curled into a cold smile.
"You've been fooled, Legacy."
The sun in his palm extinguished.
Suddenly, the sound of wind swept through the dark dimension — a realm without seasons.
The north wind howled.
Though no dark clouds hung in this universe, a blizzard began to fall.
The dark energy scattered by Legacy Kang grew sluggish. Silver frost crept over it, slowing its movement more and more.
The Legacy Kang couldn't understand why. He was a being of pure energy — how could he feel unbearable cold, let alone see frost condense on him?
It was completely illogical. It defied everything he knew.
But he also knew one thing: if this continued, he would be finished. He had to gather his scattered power and resist.
However, just as this thought formed, the whistling north wind echoed in his mind.
His thoughts slowed, freezing as if the cold had seeped into his very consciousness. For a moment, he didn't even know how to continue.
In the psychic realm, Russell gazed at the frozen remnant calmly.
"You have power," he said flatly, "but your mind is fragile."
"Your technology hasn't reached the pinnacle of computing like Iron Man, and your experience is shallow."
"Richards — even if you truly became the master of the Dark Dimension, you wouldn't be able to devour all worlds. The other dark lords would consume you entirely."
Russell knew the remnant Kang still held a trump card. But it didn't matter.
This opponent had no understanding of a true singular realm, and his combat experience was limited to skirmishes between versions of Kang.
A limited vision shackled great power.
From beginning to end, Russell hadn't felt the slightest pressure. There was no thrill here — nothing like his battle against Galactus.
The outcome of this fight had been simple from the start.
There would be no drawn-out struggle.
Either Russell failed to escape the Time Void Seal, letting Kang seize the core of the Dark Dimension, ascend to a higher-dimensional existence, and crush him with power beyond a single entity…
Or Russell would break free and annihilate the survivor.
No other ending was possible.
"You won't be coming back this time," Russell said coldly.
His hand pierced the ice, closing around Legacy Kang's throat.
A moment later, dark green death energy erupted from his fingers, completely engulfing his opponent's body.
Back in reality.
The white frost on the stagnant dark energy vanished. It instinctively coiled together, forming a humanoid shape again.
But the brilliance in Kang's eyes was gone. They were dim and empty, devoid of all emotion.
His mind was dead. Only the shell remained.
Russell returned to normal size, snapped his fingers, and red-gold flames roared to life, swallowing the lifeless body.
After a few breaths, the flames vanished.
No trace of Kang the Conqueror's remnant remained.
The enemy Russell had been fighting since he first began traveling through time… was gone forever.
