Chapter 61: Our actions comes back hunting.

"You don't need to pretend, I know you purposely did this". Aria said as she lifted up her head.

She saw Duncan looking gently and calm, the latter didn't want to fight her anymore, he acknowledged it was his mistake.

"Yes, I'm so sorry Aria, I should have watch my steps".

Aria was shocked that he apologized, seems he is getting back to his right senses.

Forgetting about that, she noticed some little dark circles around his eyes. "What happened to you? Have you not been sleeping so well?". She looked worriedly at him.

He held her hand and made her touch him. "Yes Aria, can you see my face swollen?". He pretended to be sick.

Aria noticed people watching them, she quickly removed her hand. "Let's go outside". She shyly walked out.

Duncan quickly followed her. "However, how come you know I was here?". She was really curious to know.

"It was a coincidence please!". He quickly denied as if to avoid any more misunderstanding.

He had tracked her as she was coming from home to shop, that was why he had quickly left his office to meet her surprisingly.

Aria stared at him suspiciously. "Well, she doesn't have to mind that, as far as he wasn't acting rudely to her anymore". She thought.

"Let's just go to a restaurant and later see a movie in the afternoon. What do you think?".

He asked her calmly. "Hmmm, okay".

She pretended to be reluctant to respond, so he won't noticed her urgency for hanging out with someone.

Duncan was happy, he asked her if he could drive her in her own car. Aria nodded her head and they left for the agreed location.

After talking for a while as they ate, they walked out of the restaurant to a cinema, purchasing their tickets to see a movie.

It was already noon when they went to the theatre.

Evening....

"Come in". Maxson responded to the person knocking outside.

"Hey! How have you been?". Maxson was surprised to see Vincent.

"I am good as you can see". He responded to Vincent's greetings.

"You can sit buddy". They smiled at each other.

Vincent and Maxson have been long time buddy, but since Vincent had left City B to pursue his career education, he has rarely being in touch with Maxson.

"Who would have thought you would remember me today?". Maxson laughed.

"I'm so sorry buddy, I have been quite busy since I got back". He apologized.

"Alright, what about your sister?" He asked immediately.

Maxson sat up on the chair, he had wondered the surprise visit this evening. He stood up from his chair and sat close to Vincent.

"Was all these for my sister?". He asked frowning.

Vincent laughed. "Bro, no! Can't I just ask of her causality?". He asked smiling.

"Let's hangout some of these days with others. I won't disturb your work here at the office". Vincent suggested and stand up leaving.

Maxson was calmed after hearing him. "Alright pal, thanks for coming". He thanked Vincent.

Almost closing Maxson's office's door, Vincent said. "I still have that agenda of marrying your sister". He ran away before Maxson could stand up again.

Maxson smirked as he thought he could run and catch the trouble maker.

Night.....

The couple had tried, they had spent almost two days with the Silver family. Flora had a very good time with them which Scott knew of.

It seems something had eased within her. She herself knew she had been so calm for sometime, the strength she had poured in to resurrect again had diminshed her required strength.

"Honey, how's my parent's death investigation going? I need to get back in track". She said suddenly.

Scott was surprised to hear her speaking about it. "Yes wiffy, we are working on it. The mastermind would be caught soon". He said to calm her down.

"I'm ready to teach Presch a lesson back. Since she is pregnant for Broe, she would be looking for all means to give him a male child. The Robbin family would never accept her only if she gives them a male child". She explained strictly, her voice was carrying a heavy weight of analysis. Her eyes depicts the value of atrocity.

"Because the Robbin family lacks a male child except Broe?". Scott asked purposely, he wanted to know her plans.

"Yes, but honey, I think it's time".

Scott wondered what time she was talking about. "Time for what wiffy?".

"Time for you tell me your pain, about your past". They were about to sleep when all these came up.

Scott sighed deeply, he knew this day would come, but he was never ready for it. "Baby, you are just recovering, we can do this another time". He tried urging her.

"Who is Dari? Why is Arthur attacking you? Why do everyone always respond to you as boss? Why bearing Sky Lord?". She asked simultaneously, giving no soon for Scott to breathe properly.

"No, no, we won't do that this night. You are just recovering please my love". Seems pestering her won't work, Scott hugged her to himself.

"What matters most is that I love you, and I have never for once decided you". He assured her.

Flora started crying as he speaks, she felt maybe she was overdo things. "All I want is just for us to understand ourselves, why do you keep hiding everything from me?". She sobbed as she speaks.

Scott felt sad, it was as if his heart had been pierced severally. He took her into his arms after releasing her from the hug. He ushered her to sleep on his chest as he wiped her tears away.

"I love you so much Flora". He said and kissed her lip. She closed her dimmed eyes and slept off.

After 2 weeks....

Maxson felt a little bit eased this morning, though he hasn't really gotten over Joan yet. He was still always dreaming about their sex scene where they explored each other.

Since that message he had received from her, she had not send any to him or call him. Visiting him was not even an option for her.

He wire his office shirt as he tucked it in, he waved his tie to the air before dangling on his neck.

"Who might be calling me?". He asked himself as the unknown number called him.

He picked the call without thinking twice. "Hello, how may I help you?". He said nonchalantly.

"Am I speaking to Maxson?". An elderly voice said.

Macson wondered what business he had with an old person. "Yes, but I think you mistakenly mistook me for someone else".

"No, you are Maxson right?". He asked again.

"Yes, yes, how may I help you sir?". He was tired of this ghost questions.

"What?".

Maxson's phone fell off his hands, he was shocked hearing what the man had told him next.
