Chapter 63: Maxson's urgent case.
Morning.....
Grandpa Sky kept walking around the living room, right after the call. He was so disappointed in his grandson for hiding such a huge matter from him and the family.
"Can you see your son? He kept on doing things that would ruin the reputation of this family". Mark fumed in anger, he was also sad due to his son's action.
"Have you informed all your children about the urgent meeting?". Mark asked his wife.
"Yes, they would be coming this evening". Charlotte answered with a low voice, she felt a big burden over her. She was sure he would have informed his siblings, maybe afraid to inform the other family members.
Morever, Grandma Lydia sat down silently, nobody knows what was going on in her mind.

Silver Mansion...
Everyone had waited for the protagonist of the meeting, he was the last person to join . He looked so worried and his eyes were swollen.
There was no joy but sadness on his face, it was as if he had just heard a bad news.
"You caused all these and you still came late, looking angry. Angry at who?". Mark questioned him.
"Son, calm down, let's hear from him first?". Grandma Lydia calmed her son.
"What really happened? Explain to us Maxson". Grandpa Sky said.
Maxson sighed, he rubbed his temple before speaking. "Grandpa, Grandma, Mum and dad, I am so sorry for causing this type of chaos. I never meant to ruin our family's reputation, this pregnancy issue is more like a conspired act from Joan".
"The same girl you liked?". Charlotte asked.
"Yes, the same her. But after our first encounter, when we romantically spent time together, she left like the wind. When I tried contacting her the next day, she told me never to find or call her again. I, being already smitten by her, couldn't overcome the fact that she could treat me in such a way after what we had".
"I even sent someone to help me check on her in her home, I was informed she had vacated the house. I wondered why she had acted that way". He went silent for a while.
"I truly informed Big brother and Aria about everything. She has totally changed, not the same Joan I know". He finally said.
The Elders in the family was surprised hearing his side of the story. "Everything second big brother had said is true. She did all that to him, without caring how he might feel. After two weeks from nowhere, she came calling, telling us she was pregnant". Charlotte sighed deeply, she was relieved after hearing from Aria also. Yes, her Maxson wasn't at fault.
"Mark, can you hear your children? They are never at fault, it was the girl who hadn't acted well". She was annoyed at him, she didn't want to say more. Her children watched how sad their father was, looking at their mother apologetically.
"Truly, Maxson told us everything. Infact, he was just informed about it yesterday's morning. He was planning to inform the family before Grandpa Liam took the step first". Scott joined to clarify.
"You mean he was just informed not quite long?". Grandpa Sky asked.
"Yes Grandpa". Aria answered on Maxson's behalf.
"Alright, since the situation had become like this, we have no choice than to accept". Grandpa watched Maxson.
"Maxson!".
"Yes grandpa".
"We had chosen a date with her grandpa, we would go to their place and apologize. Since you are the owner of the pregnancy, we would surely accept it and do the right thing". He said to everyone.

Dark night....
Maxson felt relieved after his family's awareness about Joan's pregnancy. Though, he never wished for them to know about it in such way.
He couldn't sleep like yesterday's night where he was just rolling on the bed. If this goes on, won't he develop insomnia?
He decided to place a video call with his brothers.
"Heyyy, what's going on?". Vincent was the first to speak.
"Why is this buddy not sleeping by this time of the night?". Roy asked with a serious tone, he was already sleeping when the call woke him up.
"If I can't sleep, you all shouldn't sleep too". He dropped his phone on the wine shelf as he poured himself a drink.
"Taking alcohol to bed? Isn't that so bad for your health". Gad complained.
"Na, I'm cool". Maxson drank and poured another round.
"I know you buddy, if anything is wrong, that is when you drink like this, especially in the night". Roy said, he sat up on his bed to listen to his side.
"Exactly". Vincent also testified.
"Hmmm, Joan is pregnant for me". He slammed the fact on their faces.
"What? You hit the jackpot?". Vincent covered his mouth in shock. No one was expecting that coming.
"So what's the plan?". Roy seemed very concerned about him. "Hope you have gone to see her and her family?". He added.
"You don't have a choice than to accept her" Gad stretched his hand, looking for a support to his phone.
"Yes, I have and my family knew already. But I can't think straight, I can't still figure out my feelings for her".

Next day, afternoon....
The rain had just finished fallen, everyone had quickly went to their destination in the morning. It wasn't windy, neither sunny.
It was noon, but still cloudy up in the sky. "There's more water to drop on earth today". Beauty said to herself. She planned to resume working at her office tomorrow.
She just finished eating a sweet portion of food, but it seems she needed to add something more to her diet this afternoon.
Everytime she meets with Roy, he would use that means to explain about their past misunderstanding to her. Since then, she had found him quite interesting.
It wasn't that she didn't like him, but she had fallen more for him. His presence was soothing, his words, encouraging. He had become her number one person to rely on.
"Hello baby". Roy came in without her notice.
She was very surprised as she saw him standing at her door. "When did you come in?". She asked being astonished.
"Just few seconds ago. Take this". He stretched the flower bouquet he held to her.
Beauty was beaming in joy as her cheeks brought out her shy blushing face. "Awnn, thanks so much". She accepted the bouquet.
"And this is one of your favorite meal". He gave her another package.
Beauty quickly checked what it was.
Damn! It was exactly her cravings. She had been bothered on how to go out and get it herself.
She didn't know when she went ahead hugging him.
"Ohh, thanks so much". She hugged him tightly.
Roy was wowed, he didn't know she would do such a thing. He knew he had won her heart again, so he thought of taking this chance in proposing to her.
"Beauty!". He called out to her after they had released themselves from the hug.
"I love you, please will you date me back?". Roy looked different, his expression seemed serious and cute.
Beauty smiled, she wasn't really expecting this, but his recent behaviors had shown her his sincerity and accountability.
Beauty nodded her head shyly. "Yes, let's date again".

It was still noon, on weekend. Aria had grown fond of her male friend, Duncan. Yeah, he was just her male friend, like she would say all the time to herself, reminding herself not to go pass that limit.
"Hello dear". Duncan's manly voice rang on the phone.
"Heyy, I am cool I guess you too?". She replied him smiling.
"I would love us to go out for a date, possibly this week. You love it right?". He asked.
His expectation was positive and he got it. "Sure! It okay by me. Just make sure you tell me beforehand to prepare myself because of work". She shyly said.
"Ohh, it no big deal, I'll make sure to do that then". Duncan wanted to confess his feelings to her, but didn't know how Aria would react to it.
He didn't want to mess up this friendship they had just begun few days ago. He knew what took him to be able to get close to her.
His thinking drifted away just right on the call. "Duncan! Duncan! Are you there?". Aria called out to him when he wasn't replying to her.
"Yes Aria, I'm so sorry, I quickly had to pick something that fell on me". He lied.
"Ouch, hope you weren't hurt?". She got worried a bit.
"No, I'm okay. Thanks for your care". He smiled on the phone.
Aria suspected he was acting differently, was the planned date organized to propose to her? "Ahhh". She silently exclaimed and covered her mouth.
"Duncan, I have something to do now, I'll call you back when done". She tried running away from him.
"Alright then, I'll be awaiting".
