"Not bad, he's got that Predator vibe now," Aidan said with a satisfied nod as he took in Megatron's commanding new appearance. The entire laboratory now appeared much more rugged, like a huge cable factory, with the rudimentary bundles of wires snaking from his body. All of the cables came together at a massive computer that could track Megatron's biometrics and brainwave activity all the time while Aidan tried to use memory transfer techniques to try and learn things from his mind.
Actually, Aidan was more interested in learning about Autobots than Megatron, specifically Optimus Prime and Sentinel Prime. The Autobots had concentrated on creating sophisticated weapons because of their physical limitations. On the other hand, the Decepticons were inherently superior due to their superior physical characteristics and their ability to change into aerial forms. This clarified why the Autobots' civil war was losing ground over and over. However, Aidan was looking for technology, and since Autobots and humans were still closely allied, it wasn't the ideal moment to break those ties for his research.
Aidan started researching Megatron based on his prior knowledge. He found that many Decepticons had an overwhelming talent for electronics, such as Soundwave, who had biologically absorbed a satellite in its entirety. Additionally, he pointed out that although true Cybertronians inherently developed both Transformation and Weapons Systems, his own bio-mechs, which were made from Energy Crystals derived from his Arc Reactor, only had Transformation Systems and still needed independent armaments. He thought about creating with the AllSpark, but its energy was still too valuable. After all, if the Seven Primes could get into civil war over their beliefs, then using the AllSpark to create new life on Earth might unavoidably spark a new conflict if their beliefs conflicted with those of humanity.
As the experiments went on, Aidan's lab became peaceful once more. Meanwhile, in the outside world, Decepticons looking for Megatron attacked the naval base where he had been detained shortly after his transfer. Humanity was made aware of the growing threat by this incident. Megatron's new location was kept a secret because Aidan had planned the transfer covertly using memory wipes and signal jamming. The Decepticons had to continue their desperate, worldwide search without the AllSpark, which contained the location of the Matrix of Leadership and the Stellar Harvester.
Three more years passed during this time of comparatively stable conditions. Earth became a centre of Cybertronian activity during this period. In order to learn more about the AllSpark, the Fallen, who had been keeping an eye on Earth's condition, started deploying Decepticons extensively. The Decepticons, Autobots, and the growingly powerful human Bio-Mech Corps all fought for supremacy. KSI Corporation sold licenses for Transformation Armour to several countries in the first year, giving them efficient defences against undeclared Decepticon agents. The dead Decepticons were then sold back to KSI, who used the bio-metal to make more armour for the expanding human army.
Some countries did, of course, try their own research, but based on the Bio-Mech Corps's ongoing growth and the funding flowing into KSI, their results were still depressing. The number of Cybertronians entering Earth increased dramatically between the second and third years. Aidan decided to sell licenses for some of his cutting-edge technologies through KSI in order to counter this growing threat. His research on Megatron led to the sharing of energy pulse rifles, transformable armour, and plasma weapons, which gave humanity powerful defences. Global technological advancement saw a meteoric rise under KSI's leadership.
The Autobots' function started to wane as human capabilities increased. Thus, the military implied that the Autobots would have to divulge their own technical intelligence. Megatron became more and more nervous as he saw this quick progress from his prison. The progress of humanity was truly astounding. If unchecked, they could soon crush the corpses of the Decepticons and attack Cybertron in retaliation. This clearly showed that the most potent driving force behind technological development is still war. Quintessa, one of the Creators still on Cybertron, had been keeping a careful eye on the events on Earth, and her initial plans started to falter.
The Autobots experienced an increasing sense of crisis as things transpired. They were already going to be thrown out like a worn-out millstone by some human politicians. Despite its ugly appearance, greed was a deeply rooted characteristic that many people were unable to overcome. Lockdown, a bounty hunter, was sent to Earth by Quintessa to start talks with people. A new storm was brewing over Earth in an instant. It appeared as though fate was about to change... or maybe it was already in the hands of one person.
The Black Cube Prison was now a mighty stronghold. Megatron's condition inside the central water tank was obviously worsening due to the ongoing deterioration of his memories. Numerous Decepticon members had tried suicidal, fruitless attempts to get past its defences over the years.
Today, however, was different. They had finished the first Artificial Mech.
There was no need to worry about mechanical jams or malfunctions because this Mecha had the biological structure of a Cybertronian. A human-operated control chamber was located in the central cockpit at its chest. Its whole body was a deep blue, and its visor was made of an orange-yellow screen with a honeycomb pattern. It was eighteen meters high and almost reached the ceiling in the large laboratory. Aidan built this biomech based on the appearance of Gipsy Danger, the Pacific Rim Jaeger. The shell of the bio-mech was finally finished after three years of unrelenting labour. It was made only to be a weapon; it was not sentient.
Energy was the last thing left to do. Earth needed a corresponding force to combat future threats like Quintessa and The Fallen. Earth's guardian deity would be this bio-mech, this Gipsy Danger.
Then, with his soul weakened, Megatron felt an enormous, well-known power source close by—the very lifeblood of Cybertronia. He looked when he opened his eyes.
In front of the new blue giant, he saw Snow Jacob, a boy, holding the AllSpark, which was humming with the force of creation itself.
Megatron thrashed in a flurry of pure, helpless rage, and the whole water tank shook violently in an instant, the Adamantium chains clanking against one another in a frantic, ear-splitting clamour.
