High above the German countryside, a S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet cut through the night sky at maximum velocity. Suddenly, a ring of crimson sparks materialized directly above the aircraft, and a figure in a flowing red cloak dropped through the portal.
BOOM!
The previously calm night exploded into chaos as violent lightning split the darkness. Storm clouds gathered with supernatural speed, coalescing into a tempest that seemed to respond to some unseen will. Inside the aircraft, Loki—hands bound but maintaining his characteristic smirk—visibly tensed as thunder rolled overhead.
"What's wrong? Afraid of a little lightning?" Captain America asked, noting the prisoner's obvious discomfort.
"I'm not overly fond of what follows," Loki replied with dark amusement.
THUD!
The entire aircraft shuddered as something massive struck the hull. Everyone inside swayed from the impact, grabbing for handholds as the Quinjet's stabilizers worked to compensate.
Tony Stark's faceplate snapped shut with a mechanical click as he moved toward the rear cargo door. "Opening the back door," he announced, pressing the release. Hydraulics hissed as the ramp slowly lowered into the night air.
The moment the door fully opened, a imposing figure appeared—silver armor gleaming beneath a crimson cloak, blonde hair wild from the storm winds. Tony raised his repulsors, energy beginning to build, but before he could fire, Thor struck like a thunderbolt.
CRASH!
Mjolnir sent Iron Man flying backward as the God of Thunder stormed past him. Without hesitation, Thor seized Loki by the throat, lifting his brother bodily from the restraint chair.
"Brother," Thor growled with barely contained fury, and launched himself out of the aircraft with Loki in tow.
"Another Asgardian?" Natasha asked from the cockpit, watching the dramatic exit with professional composure.
Before anyone could respond, a new figure materialized in the cargo bay—sleek obsidian armor covering his frame, scarlet energy pulsing at joints and vital points. His helmet possessed an almost medieval knight-like design that spoke of both elegance and lethality.
"Indeed," the figure confirmed. The helmet retracted smoothly, revealing Aidan's familiar features.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Captain America demanded, shield at the ready.
Tony, however, stared in recognition and disbelief. "Aidan? Is that really you?"
"You wound me, Tony. Have I changed so much?" Aidan replied with mock hurt, shaking his head sadly.
"Changed? You've practically transformed into someone else entirely. Where have you been for the past two years?" Tony gestured at Aidan's appearance—his hair had grown long during his time in Asgard, tied back in a neat ponytail that, combined with his youthful features, gave him an almost ethereal quality.
"I think we should focus on those two Asgardians," Natasha interjected pointedly.
"Right—explanations later!" Tony activated his thrusters and rocketed out of the aircraft.
Aidan glanced at the bewildered Captain America. "Nice uniform, by the way. Very iconic."
"Oh... thank you. Yours is quite impressive as well," Rogers replied, still processing the rapid sequence of events.
"I should follow them. We'll catch up later!" The knight-like helmet reformed over Aidan's features as he turned and leaped into the night.
Thor had dragged Loki to a desolate mountain clearing, throwing him roughly to the rocky ground. "Where is the Tesseract?" he demanded, looming over his fallen brother.
Loki smiled with infuriating calm as he slowly rose. "I missed you too, brother."
"Do I look like I'm in a joking mood?" Thor's grip tightened on Mjolnir's handle.
"You should thank me," Loki continued conversationally. "If I hadn't destroyed the Bi-Frost Father wouldn't have expended such vast amounts of dark energy to send you to your precious Midgard."
"Dark energy? What are you talking about?" Thor's confusion was genuine.
Loki studied his brother's expression with growing suspicion. "You mean Father didn't send you?"
Before Thor could answer, a familiar crimson portal opened beside them.
"Actually, the Space Bridge I constructed brought us here," Aidan announced, stepping through the gateway. His sudden appearance clearly caught Loki off guard.
"A Midgardian sorcerer?" Loki reassessed the situation rapidly. "This complicates things."
"Guilty as charged, though I don't represent Kamar-Taj in any official capacity," Aidan said, retracting his helmet to reveal a friendly smile. "This is an internal Asgardian matter. Normally, the mystic arts community wouldn't interfere."
"Then why are you here?"
"Curiosity, mostly. And to see if I can help resolve this peacefully."
"I fear that ship has sailed," Loki replied, glancing meaningfully at Thor's thunderous expression.
Thor raised Mjolnir, pointing it directly at his brother's chest. "Listen to me, Loki. I—"
WHAM!
A brilliant repulsor blast sent Thor flying backward into the forest before he could finish his sentence.
Both Aidan and Loki watched in surprise as their conversation was rudely interrupted. Through the trees, they could see the gleaming red and gold armor of Iron Man as he landed with theatrical flair.
"Don't touch me!" Thor warned as he picked himself up, clearly embarrassed by the sneak attack.
"Then don't take my stuff," Tony shot back through his suit's speakers.
"You have no idea what you're dealing with!" Thor's patience was rapidly evaporating.
Tony's response dripped with sarcasm. "What, Shakespeare in the Park? Does mother know you're wearing her drapes?"
That was apparently the final straw. Thor launched himself at Iron Man with Mjolnir spinning.
CRASH!
The mighty hammer sent Tony tumbling through several trees. "You're nothing but a man in a metal suit," Thor declared contemptuously.
Aidan had by now found a comfortable perch on a nearby boulder, settling in to watch the spectacle with obvious amusement. When Thor prepared for another devastating hammer strike, Tony's repulsors fired at full power, sending the Asgardian prince careening in the opposite direction.
BOOM! CRASH! SNAP!
The sounds of combat echoed through the forest as both warriors took their battle airborne, trading blows among the treetops with reckless abandon.
"Your brother certainly doesn't believe in subtle approaches," Aidan commented, wincing slightly as Thor delivered a bone-jarring headbutt that sent Iron Man spiraling toward the ground.
"Thor has always preferred the direct method," Loki replied with practiced resignation, clearly accustomed to his brother's overwhelming combat style.
Despite the impressive light show and property damage, it was becoming clear that Thor held the advantage. His divine strength and mystical hammer were proving superior to even Stark's most advanced technology.
Just as Thor prepared to deliver what might have been a finishing blow, a vibranium disc came spinning out of nowhere, striking both combatants and forcing them apart.
"That's enough!" Captain America's voice cut through the chaos as his shield returned to his hand with impossible precision. He leaped down from a broken tree trunk, positioning himself between the two fighters. "I don't know what you think you're accomplishing here."
"I've come to stop Loki's schemes," Thor replied, still breathing heavily from the exertion.
"Then prove it," Rogers challenged. "Put the hammer down."
From his ringside seat, Aidan chuckled softly. "That hammer seems more precious to your brother than you are, Loki," he observed with dark humor.
