Liebe said, "Let's go to the Red Light District."
Elizabeth asked, "But what's the plan?"
Liebe replied, "Here's the plan: Licht—you're broke. Like begging-on-the-street broke. And Alysa and Elizabeth are your sisters.
To survive, you're selling them as servants to the Red Light District. Meanwhile, I'll be stationed in a nearby hotel."
He continued, "For the next seven days, Alysa—you're mute. It's easier than explaining your backstory."
"From the hotel, Licht and I will alternate 12-hour shifts to observe and communicate. Remember, your suits have built-in communicators and knives. The knives are infused with Licht's light magic—only reveal them if absolutely necessary."
"Also, do not sleep. Every 30 minutes, make contact with us. Say 'Checkpoint.' You won't have access to a watch, so after each checkpoint, count down from 1800 in your head."
Elizabeth blinked. "Is that really necessary?"
Liebe said firmly, "It is. Our enemy is an immortal that lives to kill. We can't let our guard down."
"Oh, and about the dresses," Liebe added. "You're supposed to be poor. So… one dress. For seven days. That's it. Make sure you look the part."
Licht sighed, "Let me put it in simple terms: even I agreed to do 12-hour shifts instead of my usual 16-hour sleep. So yes. It's important."
