As Lilith was teleported away, she cried out, "Damn you, Astreous!"
Klice said, "Finally. Looks like the kids can get out of the way for old men like us."
Astreous said, "Their lives are simply worth too much—far more than what ours is worth. Letting them stay would be the same as killing their potential. I doubt we can rest in peace after robbing such young blood of their future."
Klice said, "I doubt we can rest in peace if anything happened to them. It was simply our duty as the kings of an age long gone to pave the way for the grand knights who shall illuminate the future. Now, let's save the kids."
Astreous said, "Time Magic: Baldr Framtíð!"
As Astrea and Klaus vanished away, Klice said, "Looks like the future is protected. Now we can rest easy. Or are you planning to send me away too?"
Astreous said, "And keep our wives waiting? Then what kind of men would we be? Now, to end all of this."
Klice said, "Couldn't have said it better myself."
Astreous said, "They deserve a time better than this one, where peace is abundant. Now, for my final spell: Time Magic: Grand Light Eternal Chains!"
A huge pillar of light erupted into the sky. Meanwhile, in the capital, Aina and Guilford saw it.
Aina said, "It looks so pretty! What do you think it can be?"
Guilford said, "I don't know."
With his final spell, Astreous sealed away the monster.
Klice said, "How long do we have?"
Astreous said, "For you, 37 seconds. For myself, 34. And we have 20 years till the beast returns. But by then, the future will be set in stone—a future where young Liebe and Licht can manage from here."
Astreous and Klice dragged what remained of their bodies to lie beside the corpses of Lucielle and Ciel.
Astreous said, "I'm sorry, my love. I couldn't save you."
Klice said, "It won't be long till we are reunited again. I'm sorry to have made you wait, dear Ciel."
