Hailee's POV
Every slow thrust pushed me higher. I trembled, holding onto his back, gasping for breath. I was lost in him—in his heat, his weight, and the way he whispered my name like it meant everything.
Then, with a rough groan, he went deep, his body shuddering on top of mine. The fire roared, and so did the blood in my ears. I cried out, my body gripping him as pleasure rushed through me, leaving me weak, empty, and full all at the same time.
He stilled, his face pressed into my neck, his breath heavy. My body shook under him, my legs still locked around his waist, until at last, strength left me and I went soft against the rug.
The room went quiet except for the crackle of flames, our hearts racing, and our ragged breaths. Slowly, he pulled out, and I whimpered, my body aching at the loss.
