Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Final Price

14 October 2025 – Devil Drive, 1:39 AM

The first shot missed by inches.

Bunnyman rolled under a desk, heart pounding. Splinters flew as a second shot shattered a cabinet behind him.

"I thought you'd be smarter," Skull Mask sneered, stepping into the broken office. "But here you are — still chasing shadows."

Bunnyman lunged forward, fists swinging. Skull Mask ducked, drew a knife, and slashed across Bunnyman's side. Pain burst through his ribs — hot and sharp — but Bunnyman gritted his teeth and countered with a hard elbow to the jaw.

Skull Mask stumbled back. "Good," he spat blood. "Now you're finally angry."

Skull Mask fought with a cold, efficient brutality. His knife carved through the air, and when Bunnyman dodged, he shot again — grazing Bunnyman's shoulder. Blood stained the front of his hoodie.

But Bunnyman didn't fall.

Not this time.

He charged again, crashing through the desk and slamming Skull Mask into the wall. The air left Skull's lungs in a gasp.

Bam!

A fist cracked into his ribs.

Bam!

Another to the face. His mask split at the edge, revealing a cruel, twisted smile.

"You fight like a stray," Skull Mask growled. "Desperate. Starving. You know what that makes you?"

Bunnyman grabbed him by the collar.

"Human."

And he hurled him across the room.

1:56 AM – Showroom Floor

The glass shattered as they both crashed through the upper window and landed hard among the rows of stolen cars. Alarms blared to life. Red lights danced around them.

Skull Mask pulled himself up, spitting blood. "You've already lost, Bunny. This whole place is rigged. The files are fake. The escape routes are mine. You're in my world."

Bunnyman stood, wobbling slightly. His breath was ragged.

"But I'm the one still standing."

Skull Mask charged, guns blazing. Bunnyman ducked, disarmed one pistol, and smashed it across Skull's temple. The second gun fired — point-blank into Bunnyman's gut — but his armor absorbed most of it.

Still, the impact hurt.

They wrestled now, raw and primal. Fists. Feet. Headbutts. Every blow echoed like thunder.

And finally…

Bunnyman grabbed Skull Mask and slammed him through the windshield of a parked car.

2:03 AM

Skull Mask groaned, pinned by shattered glass. His mask half off, eyes unfocused.

Bunnyman stood over him, bloodied, bruised, barely breathing.

He raised a fist — but hesitated.

Killing him now wouldn't fix anything.

Instead, he reached into his belt and pulled out the drive — filled with everything they needed.

"This ends tonight," Bunnyman said.

"I'll be back," Skull Mask rasped.

Bunnyman leaned close.

"Then I'll break you again."

He turned, limped away, leaving Skull Mask to the sirens closing in.

Later That Morning – Devil's Side Rooftops

Bunnyman sat alone, unmasking as the sun peeked over the skyline. He held his ribs, bleeding and exhausted.

But he was alive.

And for now…

So was hope.
