Nina gulped down the lump in her throat. "I'm really sorry about that, dear. I wasn't fully awake then, so I thought it was my phone alarm."
She wanted to go ahead and ask about her well-being, but surprisingly, Kiara cut her off. "Still sleeping at that time of day?" She asked.
"You slept with him all night, right? Hence you were weak and couldn't wake up even an hour after your usual time of waking up." Kiara was sounding as if she was with her in the hotel and was certain of what she was saying.
"Ah! Kiara, who told you that? I never slept with him, please. Your assumption is too high." Nina scolded.
"Well, if you say so." She sighed and added, "Why is your voice so low? This isn't how you sounds during a phone call." She was all suspicious that one might even mistake the person on the other end of the call as Nina's husband.
Why is she so insecure, like a man suspecting his wife of infidelity?
