A smile formed across Nina's lips. Of course, she remembered their agreement; hence, she hurried to the kitchen immediately after Marcus left her room. She doesn't want to be the reason she'll miss the outing and other goodies Marcus has in mind for her.
"It won't," she replied. "It might even be ready before the waitress brings our breakfast," she assured.
"And why can't I have knowledge about the food you're cooking?" Marcus was a bit curious.
"No worries. Like I said before, you shall know when it's time for you to know."
Marcus shrugged his shoulders in a sign of giving up and turned to leave, but he halted his pace when he overheard Nina's phone ringing.
"Do you want to be the one to answer the call?" Nina teased. "Why did you refuse to go again?" She asked with a humorous tone.
Marcus sighed and walked out of the room but hid beside the door to eavesdrop on the call.
