About an hour into the drive, Eric suddenly swerved the car into the pedestrian lane and came to a stop, surprising both Marcus and Nina.
"What happened?" Marcus inquired, moving away from Nina to get a better look at Eric's face as he expected an answer.
"I just noticed that the car needs an oil change, and the fuel level has also dropped beyond measure," Eric explained, his expression serious as he navigated the buttons beside the steering wheel.
"So what's the plan? Can't we make it to our destination with the remaining oil and fuel?" Marcus asked, feeling uneasy.
In his mind, Eric's actions seemed suspicious. He seemed hesitant to reveal the whole truth.
Does it mean that his friend gave him a car that has little fuel without telling him, knowing fully well that they are here for vacation and would drive to many places?
