After listening to Derrick's account, Chief Colin Iliad of the City of Silver did not relax. Instead, he brought Derrick to the location of the City of Silver's psychoanalyst, Evloro.
Derrick instinctively called out, "Lady Evloro," as he looked at the clear-faced woman in a black dress with her hair tied in a long braid, sitting opposite him.
Evloro smiled and nodded. After Derrick sat down opposite her, she gently asked,
"Is there anything you'd like to say?"
Derrick instinctively looked up and suddenly noticed that her eyes had turned into pale golden vertical pupils at some point.
His thoughts instantly blurred, and Derrick seemed to enter a state of somnambulism.
Evloro's pale golden vertical pupils quietly gazed at the young man before her, like an emotionless Spectator.
The next moment, within those pale golden vertical pupils, circles of faint light emerged, forming a vortex and constructing a maze.
In a daze, Derrick felt as if he was floating, surrounded by endless Darkness and countless vivid colors.
Derrick, who should have remained in this dazed state, suddenly woke up.
He saw the inexplicably flickering candlelight and Lady Evloro, with her pale golden eyes, sitting opposite him.
Evloro looked at the young man who had Fallen into a hypnotic state and gently asked,
"What have you done during this period?"
Derrick maintained his previous state and calmly replied,
"I saw Darc at the training ground, and when I talked to him, I found that he was not quite right, not the same as I remembered him to be."
"At the last gathering, I sought help from the others. They told me that Darc had been corrupted by the True Creator. I told Chief Colin about this."
Evloro glanced at Chief Colin beside her and continued to press, "Was this your own choice, or their suggestion?"
"They believe that the City of Silver can solve this level of problem... And the True Creator's target is not the City of Silver, not the Forsaken Land of the Gods, but the outside world."
"Compared to the True Creator, Amon's existence is more dangerous to the City of Silver."
Evloro continued to ask in an exceptionally gentle voice, "What is the Forsaken Land of the Gods?"
"This is the Forsaken Land of the Gods. In the world outside the Forsaken Land of the Gods, there is Sun, there is the sea, and there are normal things, without various Monsters and dangers hidden in the Darkness."
Derrick revealed all the information he knew. He even felt that it would be fine even if he didn't have Mr. Fool's blessing now, as he had planned to tell Chief Colin all of this anyway.
Evloro's expression was not calm; her eyes, as she looked at Chief Colin beside her, held unconcealed worry and longing.
Colin merely nodded slightly, signaling her to continue asking.
Evloro quickly composed herself and continued to inquire, "How much do you know about the True Creator, Amon, and that great existence you pray to?"
"The True Creator was not an evil god a long time ago. In the world outside the Forsaken Land of the Gods, he was a god of orthodox faith. Later, he became an evil god, and the orthodox faith also shifted to the other seven gods. A member at the gathering said that the True Creator's state is not right, which is why he is dangerous."
"Amon is a cunning, dangerous existence. He is a blasphemer and also the God of Deceit."
"He seems to have a conflict with the existence who convenes the gathering. The Amon avatar parasitic on me was discovered by him, and he dispatched his subordinate Angel to Purify it."
"But at the last gathering, I felt that the great existence didn't seem to care much about Amon."
Derrick maintained his "dazed" state and revealed all the information he knew about the True Creator and Amon. He did not explicitly state information involving Mr. Fool, only referring to him as the great existence.
Finally, Evloro asked,
"Where did your axe and the Sun Pathway's potion formula come from?"
"The axe was traded for with other members at the gathering, and the Sun Pathway's potion formula was also obtained through trade. I like the Sun Pathway; I want to become the light that illuminates the Darkness."
Towards the end, Derrick couldn't quite control his emotions, and his voice became slightly more excited.
Evloro did not become suspicious because of this. After listening carefully, she turned to Chief Colin and said,
"He didn't lie, he couldn't possibly lie. I used the power of the Crown of Glory."
Colin nodded lightly and said,
"In this state, he also showed no signs of evil, Fallen, or being corrupted."
After speaking, Colin got up and left the room, saying to the shadow in the corner outside,
"Derrick can be allowed to leave at any time. For now, consider him safe, but always pay attention to his state when he performs prayers or certain rituals."
"Although Derrick is safe, the one who established contact with him may not be. The relationship between him and Amon, the True Creator, is most likely hostile. That level of struggle is also a crisis for our City of Silver!"
"Yes, Chief Colin," a respectful voice came from within the shadows.
When the hypnotic state ended, Lady Evloro gently reminded Derrick that he could leave.
Chief Colin and the others should temporarily trust Mr. Fool... Although there will still be observers, this is just a necessary precaution.
In the East Borough of Backlund, within a basement resembling a temple.
Mr. A, dressed in a hooded black robe, knelt quietly before the inverted giant statue of a god.
He tilted his ear, seemingly listening to something.
After a brief pause, Mr. A suddenly raised both hands, snapped off his right index finger, and put the bloody digit into his mouth to chew.
With a 'click!' sound, Mr. A's throat moved twice, and the digit was swallowed into his stomach.
His body suddenly trembled, and then he extended his still bleeding right hand, using the blood to write words on the ground.
Upstairs from this basement, Leyton and Yulian were discussing matters concerning the Workers' Mutual Aid Organization.
Suddenly, Leyton, as if sensing something, looked down at the floor in front of the car, a faint purple glow swirling in his eyes, but it quickly dissipated.
Restraining his curiosity to peek, Leyton turned his gaze and said with a light chuckle,
"It seems a divine oracle has descended."
"Divine oracle!" Yulian's eyes widened abruptly, his surprise and excitement evident in his gaze.
Leyton nodded slightly, then quickly moved past the topic, saying,
"Do you have any plans to merge the various scattered workers' mutual aid groups into an organization similar to a Workers' Association, a Workers' Association that truly belongs to the workers!"
A flicker of emotion crossed Yulian's eyes, then he shook his head and said,
"Although the Workers' Association is manipulated by those nobles and wealthy individuals, it is also recognized by the Kingdom and the Church."
"Other similar organizations cannot gain official recognition."
"The foundation of the Workers' Association is the workers, and the main body is also the workers. As long as the workers recognize you, that's enough."
Leyton shook his head slightly, offering a different perspective.
"Envoy of God is right. Moreover, the Loen Royal Family would be very happy to see such conflicts between the working class and the wealthy and nobles, as long as they remain within their tolerable limits."
"This is also one of the reasons they tacitly allow us to proselytize widely among the lower-class residents of Backlund."
Mr. A had left the basement at some point and arrived upstairs. As he pushed the door open, he continued to add to Leyton's previous statement.
"Mr. A!" Yulian immediately turned and bowed to the entering Mr. A.
It seems that the cooperation between the Loen Royal Family, the Aurora Order, and the Demoness Sect will ultimately only harm themselves. The Aurora Order and the Demoness Sect will both ultimately achieve their respective goals.
"Envoy of God, what do you think a new Workers' Association, one that completely belongs to the workers themselves, should be called?"
Mr. A's gaze lingered on Leyton, and after a slight pause, he asked.
"Hmm..." Leyton rubbed his chin with his right hand, pondering for a moment before saying,
"The Red Cross Mutual Aid Society! And the symbol could be a blood-stained red cross, how about that?"
A smile appeared on Mr. A's pale face, and he nodded lightly, saying,
"A blood-stained cross is very close to the image of the Lord, and it won't expose us."
"Perhaps, before long, you will see news of the Red Cross Mutual Aid Society in the newspapers."
Changing the subject, Mr. A proactively brought up the divine revelation he had just received:
"The Lord gave me some revelation."
Yulian had already clasped his hands together, resting them before his mouth and nose, in a prayerful posture, listening intently to Mr. A's subsequent words.
Feeling Mr. A's and Yulian's fervent attitudes, Leyton felt somewhat out of place here.
Mr. A did not pay attention to Leyton's attitude and continued to speak about the content of the divine revelation:
"The Lord wants us to find the The Fool's Favored and believers, right here in Backlund."
"The The Fool's honorific name is:"
"The The Fool who doesn't belong to this era;
The Mysterious Ruler above the Gray Fog;
The King of Yellow and Black Who Wields Good Luck."
Mr. A spoke in the most common and ordinary Loenese, intermittently reciting the The Fool's honorific name.
Leyton listened in silence, his gaze unconsciously glancing at his left forearm.
Is there no information exchange between him and the True Creator? ...Or rather, is he now a completely independent entity?
