At night, back in his rented house, Leyton lay on the bed in his bedroom and quickly fell asleep through meditation.

In a deep dream, Leyton suddenly woke up.

It was still the Twilight Sanctuary, and Sasrir still looked the same, but Leyton noticed that the shadow beneath him was much lighter.

It seemed that during this period, his digestion of part of the True Creator's will had been remarkably effective.

"You want to see me?" Sasrir did not beat around the bush and asked directly.

Leyton nodded slightly and said with a hint of confusion:

"The True Creator gave an oracle to the Aurora Order, instructing them to find the The Fool's Blessed and believers in Backlund."

"Is there no information sharing between you and him?"

Sasrir answered calmly:

"If I were to connect with him in my current state, it would only cause me to be tainted by his madness."

Leyton nodded slightly, then brought up other topics:

"Are there high-level characteristics of the Paragon Pathway remaining in the Forsaken Land of the Gods?"

Sasrir was silent for a long time, seemingly lost in thought, and only spoke again after a while:

"Arcane Scholars at the Saint level exist, but I cannot confirm the existence of Angel-level Knowledge Magister characteristics. Perhaps they exist as Mystical Items somewhere."

"The True Creator is always in a state of madness and doesn't have that much energy to pay attention to these things."

"I understand. Then... how many City-states with survivors are there in the Forsaken Land of the Gods now?"

Nodding slightly, confirming the existence of Arcane Scholars in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, Leyton then shifted the topic to other areas.

"Counting the settlements around me, there are only seven City-states in total."

Sasrir's voice inevitably carried emotions of helplessness and dejection:

"Among them, four City-states are outside my protection: the City of Silver, Moon City, Valentine, and Bedan City."

"These cities, due to their respective reasons, have retained enough characteristics and powerful Mystical Items to persist for thousands of years in the Darkness. However, this is pretty much their limit."

"Valentine, Bedan City..." Leyton repeated softly. These were cities that had not appeared in the original work.

Amon and Klein also mentioned in their conversation in the Forsaken Land of the Gods that the remaining survivor City-states in the Forsaken Land of the Gods do not exceed ten. Amon would not lie about this; there is no need.

If there's a chance, it's still very necessary to go to the Forsaken Land of the Gods!

"Are you collecting Paragon Pathway characteristics to find an opportunity to strip away the Sage characteristics from your body and switch Pathways?"

Sasrir's voice interrupted Leyton's internal contemplation.

Leyton shook his head and said:

"I have no such intention. If I were to switch to the Paragon Pathway, wouldn't I just be sending myself to that Paragon to be killed?"

"I just want to cultivate some professional talents to promote the industrial revolution that Roselle didn't complete!"

"The progress of civilization will make Steam even more powerful."

Sasrir said, as if admonishing him.

Before Leyton could explain, he proposed a new trade:

"If you help me reclaim the authorities of the Sun and Storm, I can share the corresponding authorities with you to promote the industrial revolution."

"Don't be surprised. At that time, I was just crazy, but I still had the necessary memories and judgment."

"Roselle's biggest obstacle to promoting the industrial revolution was the lack of energy. The initial barrier that remained protected us, but also limited Earth's external development."

"Promoting civilization is something that must be done to become a Demon of Knowledge. God Almighty, who possesses omniscience, omnipotence, and the Creator's authority, is a better collaborator than the Lord of the Mysteries."

Just by relying on those memories of the True Creator, he analyzed the industrial revolution brought by Roselle so thoroughly...

This person is quite formidable in terms of insight, planning, and strategy. Hmm, it can be seen from Adam. I'm a little shamelessly tempted.

Leyton frowned, struggling. From his perspective, the other party's proposal was too tempting.

Unfortunately, Amon's existence is the biggest obstacle to cooperation.

"Time is long. You can wait until the situation becomes clear before giving your answer."

Sasrir said calmly.

The next morning, as Leyton woke up from his bed, the conversation he had with Sasrir in his dream last night clearly appeared in his mind.

"Whew~ These are still too far away from me. I'll think about them after I become a Saint, or even an Angel."

With a long sigh, Leyton quickly sprang out of bed and put on his clothes.

After a simple wash, he immediately went down to the dining room downstairs, rubbed his fingers by the fireplace, and created a crimson flame through friction and spirituality to light the fireplace.

As the fire in the fireplace began to burn, the temperature inside the house gradually started to rise.

"Later, I'll go find Klein and have him take me to that inventor, Leopard. Hmm... I also need to hurry up and collect the potion ingredients for the Savant."

Sitting at the dining table, Leyton pondered the things he planned to do today.

Not long after, the undead chef finished today's breakfast: simple sandwiches, biscuits, and hot milk.

After quickly finishing breakfast, Leyton walked to the house across the street and knocked on the door.

Thump, thump, thump!

Klein quickly opened the door, with a surprised expression on his face.

"It's a good thing you knocked today," Klein said jokingly, while stepping aside to make way.

"When I use the main entrance, I still have the habit of knocking," Leyton chuckled.

After Klein stepped aside, he saw Dr. Aaron in the living room.

Dr. Aaron also looked over with curiosity. Seeing that it was someone he had met at the Quelaag Club before, Dr. Aaron smiled and greeted him.

After returning the smile, Leyton withdrew his gaze and then directly stated his purpose:

"I came to see you about Leopard. I want to invest in his invention."

Klein nodded slightly, raised his hand, and pointed to Dr. Aaron next to him, saying:

"Okay, but you'll have to wait a bit. I have another commission."

"No problem, I'm not short on time. Remember to come find me when you're done."

Leyton waved his hand, turned, and left directly after speaking.

Klein was stunned for a moment. He had just raised his hand to try and keep him, and to ask about Will Auceptin, but Leyton had already walked some distance away, so he had to give up.

Back in the living room, Dr. Aaron asked curiously:

"Sherlock, are you also involved in investments? What kind of project is it? Something that would catch the eye of a great detective like you and make you invest."

"A new type of transportation," Klein replied with a smile.

"I'll go change my clothes first, then we can leave."

After speaking, Klein went up to the second floor, found a thick coat to put on, and then went to the Gray Fog to perform a divination. He concluded that there was almost no risk with this commission, which finally put his mind at ease.

A small, exquisite paper figure fluttered in the cold wind, finally landing on a moving carriage.

The moment the small paper figure landed, it seemed to come alive, firmly attaching itself to the roof of the carriage.

Inside the carriage, Klein looked up at the roof of the carriage in confusion, saw nothing, and then withdrew his gaze.

The carriage traveled all the way to the outskirts of Green graveyard in Backlund West Borough.

Klein and Dr. Aaron got off the carriage and wandered around, searching for something in the nearby woods.

The small paper figure was blown by the wind, drifting between one tree after another.

"There, there!" Dr. Aaron suddenly stopped, pointing to a birch tree about ten meters ahead and to the side, which had a ring of bark peeled off its trunk.

After getting closer, Dr. Aaron stared intently at the birch tree and said:

"It's exactly like it was in my dream."

Klein smiled with a slight hint of caution: "But Will Auceptin isn't here."

Dr. Aaron frowned and looked for a while, then suddenly pointed to the ground beside the tree roots and said:

"Will Auceptin was sitting right here, and one of his hands was pointing to the soil below!"

"You want to dig it up?" Klein stood to the side, looked down at the patch of ground with almost no withered grass, then looked up at Dr. Aaron's serious, frowning expression.

Dr. Aaron nodded:

"Since we've found this place, it's important to confirm what's there."

After a while, Dr. Aaron exchanged money for three iron shovels and the help of a gravedigger.

The three began to dig. They didn't dig too deep before revealing what was beneath the soil: a highly decomposed child's corpse!

Clang! The iron shovel fell from Dr. Aaron's hand. He pointed at the corpse's legs, his lips mumbling for a long time before he finally spoke in a high-pitched voice:

"Will Auceptin! He is Will Auceptin!"

Will Auceptin is dead? And he seems to have been dead for some time. This can't be fake, can it?

Klein looked at the child's corpse underground with doubt and uncertainty, numerous thoughts constantly emerging in his mind.

Klein quickly came to his senses and said to the gravedigger and Dr. Aaron, who were almost scared silly:

"Call the police!"

Not long after, a Sheriff arrived, and both Klein and Dr. Aaron were taken to the nearby police station.

After everyone had left, a small paper figure floated down from a tree. After a twist, Leyton's figure appeared.

This figure was just an illusion, essentially still that small paper figure.

Leyton looked at the child's corpse revealed in the dug-up earth in front of him. The corpse was highly decomposed, its skin and flesh looked as if they were melting, and there were many insects crawling in and out of it.

"They didn't even move the body. Is it really okay to just leave it so carelessly in front of me?"

Leyton murmured to himself.

Other than the occasional gust of wind, he received no response.

After lingering for a while, Leyton sensed that someone was approaching, so he turned and left directly.

Perhaps tomorrow, or even tonight, Will will move the location of this corpse.
