Chapter 398 - KWM Chapter 397 Audrey's Journey into the Spirit World

In East Chester County, within a luxurious manor.

Audrey quietly stepped out of her bedroom and headed to her "alchemy laboratory..." which, despite its name, was actually a study room converted into a place where she usually researched mysticism.

She had already planted psychological suggestions in the manor's servants, ensuring no one would disturb her tonight, and her golden retriever, Susie, had been arranged to guard outside.

After greeting Susie, she pushed open the door, skillfully rummaged through the room for various ritual materials, and began to set up a ritual to summon a Spirit World creature.

Two drops of buttercup essential oil were dripped onto the lit candle, and a faint, elegant fragrance instantly filled the entire room.

Buttercup is a flower associated with knowledge. Mr. Tower's ritual should come from the God of Knowledge and Wisdom Church, though it has been modified. The Omniscient Eye, symbolizing the God of Knowledge, has been replaced by a strange, somewhat cold and indifferent eye. Who does this represent?

Audrey lowered her eyes, using her current mystical knowledge to analyze the ritual before her.

After a moment of contemplation, she took out a handful of bergamot and goldenrod powder and scattered them into the quietly burning flames.

Sizzle~

The flames suddenly shot up, tinged with a brassy color, and a calming scent slowly spread. Audrey thoughtfully stepped back and softly chanted in ancient hermes:

"Spirit wandering in illusion, friendly creature that can communicate, rabbit-shaped spirit favored by knowledge."

As the incantation was recited, a wailing whirlwind suddenly swept through the room, carrying the ritual materials on the ground into the flickering candlelight.

Bang!

The flames exploded loudly, startling Audrey back two steps, her eyes fixed unblinkingly on the front.

The spirituality generated by the ritual surged and converged, forming an illusory, layered "door" connecting to an unknown area of the Spirit World.

A somewhat dazed, translucent white rabbit emerged from the illusory, layered "door."

"So cute!"

Audrey's eyes lit up. She took two steps forward, lifted her light yellow long dress, half-crouched, and approached the Knowledge Rabbit, saying softly:

"Hello~ My name is Audrey. Are you the Knowledge Rabbit that will take me to Backlund?"

The Knowledge Rabbit tilted its head, its eyes staring blankly at Audrey.

After a while, just as Audrey thought it hadn't understood her and was about to repeat herself, it swayed and nodded, looking as if it were drunk, and spoke in a somewhat childish voice:

"Go to Tulip Manor~"

"Yes, how will you take me there?"

Audrey nodded gently, then simplified her words: "Hmm, what should I do?"

The Knowledge Rabbit did not answer Audrey's question. After a gentle nod, its body suddenly expanded, transforming into a small giant-like rabbit doll.

It extended two somewhat plump paws, gently pulling Audrey, and its body, very light, sprang towards the passage created by the ritual.

"Uh, wait…" Audrey hadn't finished her sentence when she was already pulled into the Spirit World by the Knowledge Rabbit.

The surrounding scenery suddenly changed, layered and rich in colors, like a world composed of countless color blocks, with strange-looking Spirit World creatures passing by from time to time.

"Is this the Spirit World? It's so abstract, an indescribable feeling."

The suddenly changing environment made Audrey pause for a moment. She quickly recovered and looked around with great curiosity.

The Knowledge Rabbit did not stop due to Audrey's curiosity. Its body, after expanding, appeared somewhat large. It simply placed Audrey on its shoulder and then swiftly darted into the Spirit World Depths.

This was just like a fairy tale picture book: a beautiful young lady sitting on a giant Mr. Rabbit—or perhaps Ms. Rabbit—and they were together, roaming through the wonderful Spirit World… Audrey leaned against the Knowledge Rabbit's head, her thoughts continuously wandering.

Her eyes curiously scanned her surroundings. She saw a sun that looked like a child's casual scribble, hanging quietly high in the Spirit World, like the sun in the real world, not disappearing as her position changed.

As her gaze swept around, she saw a beautiful female figure sailing in a moon boat. As the Knowledge Rabbit moved forward, Audrey saw the side of this female figure; it had no side, just like a thin painting.

Audrey covered her mouth in slight surprise. The next moment, she saw the beautiful female figure, like a painting, look towards her.

There was not the slightest emotion in its eyes; it simply gazed quietly, yet it gave Audrey immense pressure, making her instinctively grip the Knowledge Rabbit's body tighter.

Audrey wanted to turn her head and ask the Knowledge Rabbit if that powerful and terrifying Spirit World creature would affect them, but she was also afraid that if she turned her head, the other party would appear directly before her.

The next moment, her vision suddenly blurred for an instant, with a water-like sensation appearing and then disappearing, as if she had suddenly passed through a layer of water film.

Audrey hurriedly turned her head to look behind her. There, a giant jellyfish-like Spirit World creature was moving away, its body constantly shifting with oil paint-like colors.

What a big jellyfish! Uh, it should be a very strange Spirit World creature. Did the Knowledge Rabbit just take me directly through its body? Is that possible? They didn't even collide? How amazing!

As these thoughts floated, Audrey was surprised to find that the painting-like female Spirit World creature standing on the moon boat had disappeared.

Phew~ Finally gone. The pressure was so immense just now. That was definitely a powerful Spirit World creature. Although the Spirit World is magical, it also holds great dangers. It is completely unsuitable for Beyonders below high Sequence to explore.

When I get back, I must write a "Travelogue of Audrey's Sights in the Spirit World." Even if I don't publish it, I can still show off in front of Susie and Viscount Glaint!

Audrey cast an "Anxiety Relief" on herself to calm her emotions. She continued to curiously observe her surroundings, but she was much more restrained, no longer letting various thoughts pop up casually in her mind.

Tulip Manor on the outskirts of Backlund.

Leyton sat on the sofa by the dining room fireplace, unhurriedly brewing several cups of coffee.

His spiritual perception was suddenly touched, and he turned his head towards the dining table, where two figures, one large and one small, quickly outlined themselves.

One was Fors, about 1.65 meters tall, wearing a light yellow, ruffled, high-collared long dress. Her brown hair was slightly curled and draped, and she held a blank, translucent rabbit in her arms.

She looked around, realizing she was the first to arrive, and awkwardly nodded slightly to Leyton, saying:

"Good evening, Mr. Tines."

"Good evening, Miss Magician. You seem to be getting along very well with it."

Leyton nodded gently in response. His gaze fell on the Knowledge Rabbit in Fors's arms. Stars seemed to twinkle in the Knowledge Rabbit's blank eyes.

"You gave it knowledge about astrology?"

Leyton pointed at the Knowledge Rabbit in Fors's arms and asked.

Fors was startled, somewhat slow to react, and nodded hesitantly:

"Ah? Yes, yes, how did you know?"

"Its eyes have changed a bit. Astrology relies on objective information, calculating, inferring, and interpreting the corresponding results, which makes it look even dumber."

Leyton chuckled in response.

He gently rubbed his fingers, and spirituality spread. In the shadows around the dining room, in the cracks everywhere, cold and indifferent eyes grew out, and in the pupils of each eye, faint, shimmering stars twinkled.

A feeling of peace and tranquility instantly spread throughout the dining room, and even the flickering flames in the fireplace became quiet.

Fors tensed for a moment, but after realizing there were no further changes, she relaxed and walked over to sit on the sofa opposite Leyton.

She was about to speak with some confusion, but Leyton's voice came first:

"They're here."

Here? Who's here?… Fors had just felt a flicker of doubt when her spiritual perception was touched. She turned her head towards the spot where she had just emerged from the Spirit World, and several figures appeared in succession.

Two enlarged, translucent paws released a figure from the Spirit World. It was a lady in a light yellow court dress, her jewelry not ostentatious but clearly valuable.
