Leyton glanced at Leonard, whose thoughts were stirring. As soon as the idea surfaced, his voice echoed around him:
"This hall directly displays the inner thoughts of the surrounding creatures."
"It's perfect for playing truth or dare."
"I wonder what would happen if Amon was tricked into coming here."
Klein turned his head to look at Leyton, and before he could speak, his voice already echoed around:
"Truth or dare? I recommend Arrodes."
"Tricking Amon? Young people nowadays are truly more arrogant than the last!"
A slightly aged voice overlapped with Klein's thoughts, echoing.
"Leonard's Old Man? He also…"
As soon as the thought surfaced, Klein was stunned. More thoughts couldn't help but spread out:
"Uh, is it still too late to retract it now?"
"...Calm down, calm down, don't overthink it!"
Leonard looked at Klein behind him in confusion:
"He knows me? Who is it? Why do I have no impression at all?"
"So afraid of me knowing, could it be some fugitive wanted by the Church?"
Audrey's voice also echoed at the same time:
"Mr. World knows this Mr. Nightmare? How curious."
"No, no, I'm not curious at all, I just…"
Audrey quickly used her Psychiatrist ability to calm her emotions, and the thoughts stirring in her mind instantly settled down.
"The Psychiatrist ability is still very useful… Uh…"
Audrey made a gesture of covering her mouth, applying another "pacification" to herself.
"I'm also very curious, are they hidden enemies, or friends who couldn't recognize each other due to an accident…"
"Hmm, I'm just brainstorming novel plots, please don't mind."
"Mr. World has completely darkened, how scary, he wouldn't be some crazy, ruthless killer, would he?"
"Calm down, calm down, can't think anymore."
Fors closed her eyes and took deep breaths, quickly relaxing her mind and clearing away the constantly stirring thoughts.
"Do I look that scary? You two, don't come and persecute my character!"
Klein couldn't help but inwardly complain again, his thoughts instantly turning into sounds echoing around the hall.
Leyton was clutching his stomach on the side, and before he could rein in his thoughts, his voice already echoed:
"Hahaha, this is too interesting, it was indeed right to call them all over~"
"This hall is a source of happiness. My humanity, oppressed by the madness from the Hidden Sage, has increased quite a bit."
"Humanity?"
"Hidden Sage?"
"Mr. Tower deliberately called us over?"
"This guy's state is indeed problematic, and also, I'm not happy at all!"
"A bit interesting~"
Everyone's inner voices echoed simultaneously in the hall, even Pallez couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
A deep blue glow flashed across Leyton's eyes, and all thoughts in his mind instantly quieted down. He began to walk deeper into the hall.
A moment later, his thoughts dispersed again:
"Ankewelt's scales disappeared after coming here. Could that old Dragon have secretly descended into this spiritual world?"
"Impossible, He, having returned, is only a Sequence 2 Discerner, unable to easily escape my notice."
Pallez's old voice then echoed.
"Old Man is very confident, He should be a Sequence 1 Marauder."
"Amon should only be missing this one Worm of Time characteristic… Uh… I didn't say anything."
Klein suddenly paused, reining in his thoughts.
Pallez's voice, however, already echoed around:
"Hmph! Young people nowadays have no respect for elders or love for the young anymore."
"The Sequence 1 of Marauder pathway is called Worm of Time? What a strange name."
Audrey muttered to herself with a slight doubt, her voice instantly echoed by the hall.
She was silent for a moment, then her voice echoed again:
"It's very convenient to communicate here, it's just a bit too convenient."
"Yes, too convenient, I don't even dare to think randomly in my head."
Fors's voice echoed around, continuing Audrey's words.
"Perhaps this place is for the convenience of communication between Dragons, or perhaps, it's where Ankewelt treats other Dragons' psychological problems."
As the voices echoed, Leyton had already walked to the center of the hall. He tried to meditate, and suddenly, many brass-colored, interlocking gears appeared around the hall, along with chains pulling. They rotated either forwards or backward, resembling the intricate internal structure of a machine, and one shining star after another emerged from the gaps, connecting to form a cold, indifferent eye containing countless stars.
After only a moment, the scene around the hall suddenly disappeared, and Leyton's voice echoed again:
"This hall also seems to have a function to aid meditation; it's very easy to outline one's cogitation object in the mind."
"It can do that too?" Klein's voice then echoed, and he tried closing his eyes and began to meditate.
Around the hall, one star after another suddenly lit up, densely packed and dazzling.
"Is this Mr. World's cogitation object? So beautiful!"
"Uh, I didn't mean to, no, I really am praising you, Mr. World."
Audrey, very unaccustomed, tried to salvage her previous exclamation in her mind.
"Why can't I imagine such a beautiful cogitation? Do I really not have the talent an Author should have?"
Fors's voice, somewhat self-doubting, echoed around.
Leonard's voice also echoed at this time:
"No, with a group like this, I can't control my thoughts at all."
"This is clearly your own problem, don't blame everything on others."
Klein very skillfully complained about Leonard in his mind, and his inner voice echoed at the same time.
Leonard looked at Klein to his left with some suspicion, the hall already echoing his inner voice:
"Who exactly is this guy? He seems very familiar with me, I definitely know him!"
"Don't guess, you won't be able to."
Klein subconsciously replied to Leonard's words in his mind. He paused, then forcefully diverted his thoughts:
"Can't think anymore, calm down, calm down. Why did I agree to explore the world in the book back then? I should have divined it beforehand before making a decision."
"That's right, why did I agree without even thinking back then? Did that guy influence my judgment while speaking?"
Leyton turned back to look at the belatedly aware Klein. Before he could speak, his voice already echoed:
"I was luckier at the time; what I wanted to do naturally succeeded."
"Die of Probability!" A thought subconsciously flashed through Klein's mind.
"Die of Probability? What's that?"
Audrey's and Fors's voices simultaneously echoed around.
"A dice that can make one lucky. Alright, ladies and gentlemen, let's look at the murals."
"Don't keep talking to each other, I feel like you could play until next year… Uh, just pretend you didn't hear that last sentence."
Leyton shook his head uncomfortably, his gaze falling on the mural at the deepest part of the hall.
Many Dragons were depicted on it, the most prominent and tallest of which was a grayish-white Dragon, overlooking the entire sky. Its eyes were pale gold, pupils vertical, showing little emotion and no trace of madness; it resembled more a calm, wise Sage.
Below this Dragon, several other Dragons of different appearances coiled and clustered. Further below were some more blurred figures.
What attracted Leyton the most was the position under the right wing of the Dragon of Imagination, Ankewelt. Only faint traces were there, as if a Dragon should have originally existed here, but for some reason, it was blurred, leaving only a silver-white Omniscient Eye.
