Chapter 6: Sidi – Are You Teaching Me How to Do My Job?

"Yes, Lord Demon God Emperor does not have this rule, but... is it really appropriate to hand the Demon God Pillar over to a human in the future?"

Despite facing the overwhelming presence of the Love Demon God Sidi, Huang Shuo held back his anger and tried to maintain decorum. However, the discomfort and frustration were evident in his voice.

To him, it was a disgrace.

Countless demons dreamed of becoming the inheritor of a Demon God Pillar—and now, this coveted role had been handed to an outsider. A human!

But Sidi remained calm and unmoved. Her voice was steady, cold as ever.

"Huang Shuo, your job is simply to record the successor's name. I advise you not to concern yourself with matters beyond your station."

That statement, curt and indifferent, made Huang Shuo's knuckles tighten. His pride as a high-ranking demon under the Demon God Emperor burned.

He gritted his teeth and said,

"Lord Sidi, I'm sorry, but I cannot record a human as a successor. If you are lacking in suitable candidates, I am willing to help you find someone worthy. The Demon God Pillar cannot be handed to a lowly—"

But before he could finish, a terrifying pressure fell upon him like a mountain.

The aura of a pillar demon god.

Even a peak ninth-rank expert like Huang Shuo couldn't withstand it. He dropped to his knees with a muffled grunt, his body trembling under the crushing force.

A cold glint danced in Sidi's eyes as her soft voice rang through the hall, piercing like a dagger.

"Huang Shuo, you're just a dog under the Demon God Emperor. Do you think you have the right to question me?"

The pressure intensified.

Scales began to ripple across Huang Shuo's face—black dragon scales, his innate defense instinctively trying to shield him. But under Sidi's pressure, they were useless.

"Hmph... Know your place."

With a cold snort, she increased the pressure once more.

Boom!

Huang Shuo collapsed completely, cracking the floor beneath him.

Drenched in sweat, he dared not move. The entire hall fell into suffocating silence.

Then—

"Lord Sidi, please restrain yourself. For my father's sake."

The gentle voice cut through the tension.

It was Leng Xiao.

She had been watching quietly from the sidelines, but now stood and addressed Sidi directly with unusual calm.

"Please show some leniency. Huang Shuo was out of line, but your decision, Lord Sidi, stands above all. Whether a human can inherit the Demon Pillar should be decided by my father at the assessment."

She turned to the groaning Huang Shuo and added:

"Apologize. Now. This isn't something you're qualified to interfere with."

Huang Shuo gritted his teeth. But her words made sense.

The final say would rest with His Majesty, not him.

Why risk death trying to debate the Love Demon God?

He struggled to bow his head.

"Lord Sidi... I was out of line. Please forgive me."

Sidi remained silent.

She didn't even acknowledge Huang Shuo.

But for the sake of Leng Xiao—the Demon Emperor's daughter—she lifted the pressure.

Huang Shuo slumped, gasping for air.

Sidi glanced at Leng Xiao, finally breaking the silence.

"Princess Leng Xiao, you're more mature than I expected."

Leng Xiao smiled and stuck out her tongue playfully.

"Thank you, Lord Sidi. I've just seen my father deal with this kind of thing often."

She hesitated briefly, then looked serious.

"Actually, I came with Huang Shuo today for another reason..."

"Go ahead," Sidi said.

"I wanted to observe the younger generation's elites. Since he's your successor, I'd like to spar with him."

At that, Sidi chuckled softly.

"I've heard the princess is battle-hungry—and now I see it's true. Just ten years old, yet already at the early stage of third-rank spiritual power, and cultivating both magic and martial arts... A worthy descendant of the Heaven-Defying Demon Dragon Clan."

She glanced at Lin Ze, thoughtful.

Then her expression turned sharp.

"You may spar—but on one condition. No use of spiritual power."

Leng Xiao's eyes lit up.

"Of course!"

With a snap of Sidi's fingers, the three vanished.

Only Huang Shuo remained, dumbfounded in the cracked hall.

---

The scene shifted.

Lin Ze, Leng Xiao, and Sidi appeared in a different realm—a domain of blood-red spider lilies, blooming endlessly in every direction.

A hauntingly beautiful battlefield.

"This is my domain," Sidi said calmly.

"You may fight freely here. No restrictions. And no risk."

Though she initially hesitated to agree to the match, Sidi realized it was a perfect opportunity. Lin Ze rarely interacted with his peers. This duel might awaken the ferocity sleeping in his bloodline.

Besides, in her domain, she was in control.

And that's why Huang Shuo wasn't invited.

Leng Xiao took a few steps forward, eyes gleaming with curiosity as she studied Lin Ze.

"So you're the first human I've ever met... You don't look that different from us."

Then her eyes narrowed slightly.

"You look about my age too. How old are you, little brother?"

Lin Ze, a little shy, answered automatically.

"Five years old."

"Five?!"

Leng Xiao blinked, clearly surprised.

Lin Ze nodded and added:

"My name is Lin Ze. May I ask what to call you, big sister?"

Leng Xiao paused, stunned for a second.

"...Were you talking to me just now?"

"Yes," Lin Ze said with innocent sincerity.

"Xiao Yun said that pretty girls older than me should be called big sister."

At that, Leng Xiao laughed out loud.

It was a pure, bright laugh.

In a blink, she ran up to him, pinched his cheek, and beamed.

"You're really sweet, little guy! But you're right—I am a very pretty big sister!"

"Alright then! From now on, I'm your big sister, and you're my little brother!"
