CHAPTER 25
CHLOE'S POV
"Do you want me to continue?", he asked and I was about to answer when I heard Jess' voice from the living room.
" I'm home!!!"
I pushed Keith off me and started to panic.
"Oh my God! What do we do?", I asked.
"First, you have to calm down. You can pretend like you are working on your dress and I'll just be here, being as lazy as ever. Got it?"
"Yeah, good plan", I tried to calm myself down and he leaned in and pecked me on the lips.
" She won't suspect a thing", he said and grabbed a book from my bedside table, sat on my bed and pretended to be reading, while I started working on my dress.
" We're in here!", I yelled, calling out to Jess.
She came not long after, looking all excited.
" Hi", Keith and I said simultaneously.
"Hey, you guys. I have some good news"
And she didn't suspect a thing!!!!
"What is it?", I asked, gluing the rhinestones to my dress.
"I'm pregnant!!!!"
"What?!", my head snapped in her direction.
"I'm just kidding", she laughed.
"Don't try that again"
"I'm sorry. The good news is that the both of you are taking a few days off school to spend time with Matt and I", she beamed.
" How's that possible?", Keith asked.
" I made Matt call the school management"
" And they agreed?"
" Yeah"
Huh!
" So, you guys better start packing, but pack light and get swimsuits", she squealed and left the room.
" Wow", Keith exclaimed as he walked closer to me.
" I actually thought she was pregnant", I chuckled.
" Me too. Now, don't be mad but you have a hickey on your collarbone", Keith scratched the back of his neck, while I was stunned.
" You gave me a hickey? I just hope Jess didn't see it"
" Relax, it isn't that obvious", he leaned and pecked my lips again and again.
" Ok, stop. Just go get your things"

Keith had packed up his stuff and so have I. We're now waiting for Jess so we can all head out to Matt's house.
Matt's house is really big and beautiful. It has a pool table, a bar, a mini bar, a swimming pool and so many places I haven't discovered yet.
"I'm ready", Jess announced as she met us on the driveway.
"So, are we taking your car?", I asked impatiently.
"No, Matt's picking us up", she giggled like a baby.
"And here he is now", Keith said pointing at Matt's car driving towards us.
"Eeeeee!!", Jess squealed and ran to where he parked his car.
I rolled my eyes.
She's acting like a lovesick teenager when I'm the teenager!!!!!!
"Hey Matt", I waved at Matt when his girlfriend was done with draining his breath.
I meant, they were kissing.
"Hey, peanut. Hey, Keith", he responded and did a bro hug with Keith.
"Peanut?", Keith teased and I frowned when he ruffled my hair.
"Stop, it took time to brush", I whined while they all laughed.
"Can we get going already?",I huffed and put my bag in the trunk before getting in the backseat.
Keith did what I did and got I to the backseat with me.
" So, peanut, huh? I think I'll call you that from now on", he teased with a smirk.
" Don't you dare", I growled.
I just wanna smack that smirk off his handsome face!!!!!!
Matt and Jess got in and we started moving.
Matt's house isn't that far, it's just a three hour drive. Jess and Matt we're goofing around, I was feeling a little bit sleepy. Keith was just quiet, doing nothing.
Suddenly, an idea popped in my head. I brought out my phone from my pocket and texted Keith, knowing fully well that he's beside me.
Me - What's on your mind?
Keith - A LOT
Me - Care to share?
Keith - Not really.
Me - C'mon :(
Keith - I'm good, thanks.
Me - Fine, I might as well call the cute pizza guy from earlier ;)
Keith - Don't you dare
Me - Then spill
Keith - Nah
Me - Then I'm calling him ;)
Keith - Do I really have to tell you?
Me - Yeah, except you wanna see me making out with the cute pizza guy.
Keith - Ok, fine.
Me - So you'll tell me?
Keith - Yeah
"Guys, we're here", Matt announced as he stared at Keith and I weirdly because we were so engrossed on our phones.
Thanks, Matt!
You just ruined my chance at finding out what Keith was thinking about!!!!!
We got down from the car and took our bags inside.
I studied Keith's expression when he saw Matt's house. He didn't seem fazed at all. I guess he's seen bigger.
"Ok, guys, get settled in and we'll meet in the dining for dinner in about an hour", Matt handed Keith and I access cards to our rooms. I couldn't stop grinning because I missed the room I always slept in whenever we were here.
I went upstairs and got into my room, plopping on the bed with a soft thud.
I am exhausted and confused.
I don't know why but I feel attracted to Keith and it's bothering me. We have to cut things off before it escalates.
I mean, we can't be friends with benefits. I've never liked the idea.
I got up, arranged my stuff and showered. I still stayed in my bathrobe, sitting on my bed and listening to music over my earbuds.
I was busy humming, I didn't realize Keith was leaning on the doorframe, staring at me.
He walked towards me and sat down next to me. That was when I pulled the earbuds from my ear and turned to face him.
"Hey", I said, inserting the earbuds into the case.
"Hey", and we just sat in silence.
I noticed he was hesitant about something so I asked
"Is there something wrong?"
"No, it's just.....I have this urge to kiss you", he replied with red cheeks.
"Are you blushing?", I teased.
"C'mon, I'm serious"
"Why'd you wanna kiss me?"
" I don't know. I've wanted to kiss you since we were in the car"
" Okay, well you can't"
" Why not?"
" You just can't "
" We've been making out, and now I can't kiss you", he said, hurt visible in his voice.
" I'm sorry", I said and head into my walk-in closet. I just love walk-in closets that was why I picked this room.
A few seconds later, I heard retreating footsteps which meant that Keith had left.
I feel sad, it took every ounce of courage in me to tell him that. I wanted to kiss him just as much as he wanted to kiss me but we needed to stop.
