"I don't know either. Can't you see he's not here?" I replied and heard the voice grunt, causing my head to ache a little.
Then I heard water in the bathroom. The Alpha must be bathing!
"The Alpha is bathing," I spoke, trying to calm the voice down, and I could feel it smirk.
"That's good! Go and join him," it replied, and my eyes widened at the response.
"What the hell? Do you want him to think I am a pervert?" I spoke in disgust, and it laughed.
"He's your mate and not some stranger," it encouraged, and my stomach churned at its words.
"Stop saying nonsense. I'll only ask the Alpha to mark me!"
"Oh… don't you think if you join him, it will set the mood to mark you?"
I blinked at the words.
"You're trying to mess my head up. Shut up now!" I barked in anger, clenching my fist.
Soon, the water stopped, and I lay back down, closing my eyes and feigning sleep.
