"Yes, we have to act like a real couple. If not… she will suspect us," he spoke, and Lydia let out a deep sigh.
"Okay, but don't take it too far," Lydia spoke, and he smirked.
"Then how will she be convinced?" he asked, and she gave him a side glance, which made him chuckle.
"Whatever," Lydia replied.

After hearing from Kaidon that he had found his mate, Alisha had been very quiet and moody, and her mother noticed it.
"Lisha…" she called and sat close to her.
Alisha forced a smile.
"What is it, Mother?" she spoke calmly, trying to mask everything.
"You don't seem happy after the Moon Festival. Is anything bothering you?" Latisha questioned, and Alisha just smiled.
"Nothing, Mother. I'm fine," she replied, but her mother did not believe what she said.
"Don't lie to me, Lisha. I know when you're okay and when you're not."
"Mother, I said I'm fine!" Alisha said and got up, clearly angry.
