Chapter 2 - chapter 2

I left the house in a hurry, finding Chloe standing next to my red car, with both hands in the back of her black jeans pocket. They're still full of holes like yesterday, but with a different hoodie this time around, she wore a black hoodie but this one was smaller.she is standing with her head down looking at the ground, she looked at me for a few moments with those unsure eyes. Her hair is spread loosely over her shoulders, and it's shining brightly making the hair tint look cool. The way she is standing make her look cute sweet and innocent. Even though maybe she isn't.

"Get in." I say, walking fast to get in the car as I start driving us to school, we sit in quietness with Chloe just staring outside.

"Okay, this is how it's going to be," I tell her, she turns around to look at me. She looks scared, it might have been how I spoke, it just that am still upset about the whole thing.

"I am not going to walk around like am your babysitter or something. Am simple just driving you to school, you get it. I turned to look at her and saw her shrinking into the car seat, good means she heard. After driving for some minutes, we arrived at school.

"Okay, stay out of trouble and do not get in my way, okay. She nods, not one words comes out from her mouth.

"Hi! Jason." I look around to see Jessica smiling at me with a bright smile on her face, oh no, who did she screw up now?" She looks blonde like my hair, no way with her.

Hi! I said and put on a fake smile on my face.

"Guess what." She says. The locker next to us shuts hard, causing us to jump back, we turn to fine raven rolling her eyes, her brown hair is up in a ponytail, she was ready for soccer practice. Thank God she is her, I can't stand being with Jessica alone for long.

"You slept with Kevin." She says and moves next to us.

"How did you know?. Jessica wonder. Daniel turns to look at me while rolling her eyes and I chuckled.

"Well," she says and turns back to Jessica.

Non of the guys are even talking about it so be calm," she rolls her eyes again.

"They are?" Jessica looks shocked, which is surprising because she's the one almost everyone is talking about here, the bell rings for the start of today's lessons.

"You ready to practice, Daniel asks me?"

"Yes, been looking forward to it, we grab our things to head for practice."

" I can't just wrap my head about why you two liking soccer it makes you look dirty, Jessica says." She was looking at a guy who was checking her out, before walking to class.

Look who's saying we're the dirty ones, raven and I laughs. Daniel is the only one I can't be around, without feeling like I want to choke.

Practice was great today, scored some nice goals, coach was clapping am sure is impressed. I walk towards the car, was looking around for Chloe, but nothing. You know what, why should I even care. I get into the car and starts driving home, ten minutes later I arrive. I am home, I walked inside the house, saw dad watching TV and my mom was reading a book.

"Welcome, baby." Mom says, dad turns around to look at me.

"Where's Chloe, he asks?"

"I don't know, I replied." He stood up on his feet so fast looking at me weirdly.

"You mean you left her at school, alone?. You left her oh my god, I can't believe this is happening." He sat down and placed his hands on both thighs.

You left her at school his voice was rising and his eyes getting red, am I trouble I've messed up this time around. Mom dropped her book and was looking at us with concern.

"What she is old enough, she can handle herself." Dad stood up and was staring at me like he's about to bite my head off. Can you listen to yourself, she's old enough and is capable to be on her own.

Yes, she might be old enough, but she's hasn't gotten to the stage of taking care of herself.

"What stage?" Am slowly getting more angry to, dad sighs.

"She grew up in a difficult situation unlike you here, there are certain things she hasn't learned in society like you have, she can be a danger to herself." He pushes his hair back, we heard the sound of the door opening. In walks hunter, before dad breathed out in sign of relief. She walked in and just stood by the door, she wasn't sure if she was to say something.

"Are you okay, Chloe?" Dad speaks first.

"Yes, Chloe nods carefully." She moves away from the door and walks in.

"I'm sorry, I skipped the last class." She was scared like she was going to be punished.

"I walked towards them looking at she and my dad, before walking to my room." She's really an idiot, thank God I left for home.

"Oh my God, I wonder why he's so worried, she's old enough to take care of herself that's why she's an adult.
