Luzon was busy working on a real-time innovation performance project, which the chairman had assigned him earlier, when he received a call on his intercom. He picked up the phone and said,
"Hello."
"Good day, Mr Luzon Mendoza." The sharp and authoritative voice of the human resources manager rapped in his ear. "This is Mrs Davis from the HR department."
Luzon's brow furrowed. He wasn't expecting any call from the HR department anytime soon except...his heart skipped a bit as he recalled that Belinda was supposed to either give him a call or return his access card the same way she collected it.
"Miss Davis, how may I help you?"
"I have just been instructed by the chairman to inform you to vacate your office, effective immediately."
"What?" Luzon's gaze widened.
"You have been reassigned to a new office on the third floor still as the director of innovation," Mrs Davis continued in a stern voice.
