"Or what?" Tate snorted, staring condescendingly at the small boy before him as his pals and sidekicks–Stefano and Carlos, both known to all the first graders as the notorious twins– rushed to his side, like two bodyguards ready for war.
"Are you going to offer me a cookie too?" He snickered snatching the paper napkins from Griffin's left hand.
"Ah!" Gasps erupted around them as more children gathered forming a circle around the unfolding scene.
"Give it back," Griffin growled, his gaze flashing a sinister glint as both his fists clenched.
"What if I say no, shortie pants?" Tate mocked, poking Griffin on the chest. "Will you cry to mummy too?"
"Waah! Waah!! Waah!!!" Stefano and Carlos jeered even louder, laughing their silly hearts out.
"G...Griffin, c...come. Let's go away." Luna's voice trembled as she spoke.
Compared to the three chubby boys before them, Griffin was small and she was fragile. She was afraid they would beat them to a pulp before a teacher intervened.
