The next morning is busy for Evan. He got home last night, exhausted, so he immediately fell asleep.
It felt like he had only a wink of sleep and then there is a loud bell sound that woke him up. Apparently, it is a wake up call for everyone in the manor. He had not heard of it, not until his own servant was immediately on his door when he got up, ready to knock if Evan didn't open it.
"May I please enter?" The servant asked.
Evan just side-stepped and let him in without a word. He is yawning, half-awake and half-asleep still. He had a tiring night and the blare of the alarm did not help with the usual way he eventually wake up.
The servant enters the room and began parting the curtains. Instead of the bright sun shining from the horizon, the sky is a little darker, covered in a layer of grey clouds.
It looks like it will rain later in the day.
"Don't worry about the loud sound. It is just the alarm." The servant says, as he approached the bed and is about to make it.
