Chapter 1 - THE SKY IS FALLING!!!

His bed felt too good to be true, he twisted and turned.

The sun fell through the shut blinds, leaving a slight glow and warmth to wash over Markus.

He did truly love the feeling.

A slight rustle, then a twist as he shifted, hoping to get the last ounce of rest before work.

BEEP-BEEP-BEEP

The alarm blared the sound causing his eyes to shoot open.

his hand shot out, swiping down on his phone.

eyes closed, he stretched, feeling the bones pop and crack.

he grabbed his pillow and shoved his face into it one last time feeling the warmth it brought, he pulled away.

he took in his bedroom

not small, not big. but roomy.

The walls had a fresh overcoat to paint the once sickly green to a new shade of white.

The carpet bland and a light tan that lighted into a light pink showing the juice spills over time that had stained.

Markus not the most unkempt person had a bookcase and a desk, the desk pushed was pushed to the far corner of the room. Had an sleek newer model of gaming laptop.

The bookcase was a diffrent story the only thing that survived from his childhood. Dents and scars scraped along the serface causeing the once bright red disfigured and the words from its brand faded leaveing a captital A slaped right on the front of it.

He deadpand over to the computer, unblinking he wachted as the screen flicked on and of in sudden blinks of light.

" Did i not turn off it last night?" He thought as the blanket lifted and one foot landed on the oddly cold carpet.

It wasnt a cold that came with the winter chill.

But one more artificial, more in the line of staying in a walk in freezer a little to long while looking at the diffrent prices of meat.

He recoiled from sudden chill that went up his spine- he jerked, wrapped the blanket around himself and tightened it.

With a little more curiosity he hesitently stepped on the carpet, this time with his other foot

To warm-way to warm, hot too hot.

It felt like he put his foot on the contrete during the summer.

"Ok what the fuck is going on" he said as recoiled again.

"How is this happening?" He said louder as if expecting the carpet talk back.

With the final time, he'd finally had enough

He slammed both feet expecting a searing cold or a hot pain.

But the breath he held had not been let go as he felt nothing.

Not the cold or hot nor even the little tuffs of the carpet

Just gone he looked down unblinkingly as the floor known to be there, had meracualy disapeard the next moment.

What replased it had been a endless green with sploches of grey to red.

Not at all expecting this he fell face first into into the great expance.

"WHAT THE FUUUUCCCKKKKK" he managed to get out before the floor of green swallowed him whole

In the empty room it shifted again.

a person not so big nor small a solid lenth of 5,10. The person stood- No floated above the bright expance

He snapped a book apearing out of thin air

A grotesque-no it almost felt like it shouldn't even be able to exist. The book had what looked like a human face etched into the parchment. The face seem to be ever screaming as the mouth opened into a almost haunting visage of a humans last moments

Inside the mouth was a dark purple gem- it pulsed once and then again as a black aura seemed to form.

The booked looked thick and stacked with horrible manuscripts of based on the book- black magic. This grotesqueness of the cover didn't deter the auther as the book was thickly stacked with parchment inside.

The floating being looking desusted pinched it by one corner. He opened it slightly as he started tearing out pages by the handfull letting them fall into the portal to the other realm. When all of the end pages were pulled and cast off as he let the book fall into the pit.

"Make the show greater than the last mortal" a slight british accent cracked through the deeper voice as he snapped again

Portal gone, the figure gone.

The room felt lonely as ever,

as the silence tookover.
