The LORD spoke to Moses and said, "Speak to all Israel and tell them: Be holy, because I, the LORD your God, am holy.
Each of you must honor your mother and father, and you must keep my Sabbaths. Do not turn to idols or make gods of cast metal for yourselves. When you offer a fellowship sacrifice to the LORD, do it so it will be accepted. Eat it on the day you sacrifice it or the next day; anything left until the third day must be burned. If anyone eats it on the third day, it is impure and will not be accepted. Anyone who does so will be held responsible and cut off from their people.
When you harvest your land, do not reap to the very edges, and do not gather the gleanings. Leave them for the poor and the alien. Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up fallen grapes; leave them for those in need.
Do not steal, lie, or deceive one another. Do not swear falsely by my name to profane it. Do not defraud or rob your neighbor, and do not hold back wages from a hired worker overnight. Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but fear your God. Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great. Judge your neighbor fairly. Do not spread slander or endanger anyone's life. Do not hate your brother in your heart; rebuke your neighbor so you do not share in his guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge, but love your neighbor as yourself.
Keep my decrees. Do not mate different kinds of animals, plant mixed seeds in your fields, or wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
If a man sleeps with a female slave promised to another man but not yet freed, he must bring a ram for a guilt offering, and the priest will make atonement for him before the LORD, forgiving his sin.
When you plant fruit trees in the land, their fruit is forbidden for the first three years. In the fourth year, the fruit is holy, an offering of praise to the LORD. In the fifth year, you may eat the fruit, so your harvest will be increased.
Do not eat meat with blood still in it. Do not practice divination or sorcery. Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or trim the edges of your beard. Do not cut your bodies for the dead or make tattoo marks. Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will be filled with wickedness.
Observe my Sabbaths and revere my sanctuary. Do not turn to mediums or spiritists, for you will be defiled. Rise in the presence of the aged, respect the elderly, and revere your God.
When an alien lives among you, do not mistreat him. Treat him as one of your native-born and love him as yourself, for you were once aliens in Egypt.
Do not use dishonest measures, weights, or quantities. Use honest scales, weights, ephahs, and hins. Keep all my decrees and follow my laws. I am the LORD."
