Mr. and Mrs. Su stared at Rosalie in shock. Why was she saying such outrageous things so confidently?
The jade pendant belonged to Celia, not Su Xue.
But both of them quickly realized that now, with Su Xue exposed, Rosalie was their backup. Besides, Celia wouldn't be able to fight for the Fu family's wealth and power.
"Mr. Fu, we admit it. The jade pendant isn't Xuexue's, it's Rosalie's."
"We failed to properly educate Xuexue. She stole Rosalie's jade pendant and tried to force her way into the Fu family. She even threatened to take her life. We were powerless to stop her."
Fu Nancheng's eyes narrowed as he looked at them. His gaze was sharp as ever. He then turned his attention to Rosalie and asked slowly, "Is the jade pendant really yours?"
His eyes were so penetrating, like a cold, deep pond. They seemed to pierce straight through Rosalie. She met his gaze and nodded firmly, "Yes."
"Are you the King?" he asked in a low voice.
Rosalie was smart. She gave a soft smile, her lips curling up mysteriously, "I'm sorry, Mr. Fu, but that's a personal matter. I'm under no obligation to answer that."
Fu Nancheng was silent for a long moment, then finally spoke, "You can take Su Xue back."
"Okay, thank you, Mr. Fu. But… when will you marry Rosalie? The engagement between Xuexue and you is void. Rosalie is your real Mrs. Fu," Su Changrong asked eagerly.
Rosalie's eyes sparkled with a quiet charm as she looked at him.
Fu Nancheng said nothing, his expression as distant as ever. He turned his gaze towards Secretary Song, "Please show them out."
Secretary Song quickly nodded. "Please follow me."
Later…
Su Xue was released from her confinement. She had been tortured for days and was now in a dazed, fragile state.
Her plastic surgery had been ruined, and her face was disfigured. Her nose and features were collapsed, leaving her almost unrecognizable.
It was clear now why Fu Nancheng had released her so easily—she had been broken beyond repair.
"Get away from me, I'm Mrs. Fu!" Su Xue screamed as she tried to push away the people around her.
Li Lan held her tightly, "Xuexue, don't be afraid. It's your mother."
Rosalie stood silently, observing the scene. In her eyes, Su Xue was an obstacle to her place in the Fu family.
But she gently spoke, "Mom, I know some world-renowned doctors who will help Xuexue."
Su Changrong sighed, his voice filled with anger, "This Mr. Fu's methods are ruthless. No one who crosses him ever comes out unscathed. We've lost everything trying to steal from him, but Rosalie, you must secure Mr. Fu."
"I understand, Dad," Rosalie replied with a smile. "Mr. Fu hasn't outright said he won't marry me. He simply hasn't said he will either."
At the Villa…
Fu Nancheng was walking out of Yipinlan Villa when Emily suddenly blocked his path, looking at him with wide eyes, "Uncle, are you really going to marry Rosalie?"
Fu Nancheng furrowed his brows, "Who told you to eavesdrop on our conversation?"
"Uncle, I don't want you marrying anyone else. I want Celia to be my little aunt!" Emily's voice was full of emotion.
At the mention of Celia, Fu Nancheng looked at the clock. It was already nine o'clock, and she still hadn't returned. What could she be doing?
At that moment, the door to the villa opened, and Celia finally returned.
"Celia!" Emily rushed over to her. "Oh no, something big has happened!"
Celia looked at her with confusion, "What's wrong?"
"My uncle is going to marry Rosalie!"
Fu Nancheng's gaze locked onto Celia's face, watching closely for any change in her expression.
