Chenghua leaned back, eyes falling on the papers again. "Yes. And we will make sure Mianmian and Cheongsam know: he signed not out of neglect, but because he understood they deserve better."
The weight of his words lingered in the air, settling like quiet stone.
Mu Chenghua let out a long breath, folding the relinquishment documents neatly and sliding them back into the envelope. He tapped it against the low table, once, twice, as though sealing his thoughts.
