Chapter 16 - The Rewrite Begins

Timelines begin to collapse, not with explosions—but with silence. People vanish from memory, statues crumble into ash, history dissolves. The Godless Prophet has begun the Rewrite, attempting to remove Akuzai and all that defies the Void's will.

The group travels to a fractured version of the original Crimson Dawn monastery, now a shrine to Nihlaz. There, they find altered versions of themselves—loyal to the Prophet, twisted by rewritten destiny. These "Reflected Blades" have no memories of friendship, only programming to kill.

The battle is hard—not just physically, but emotionally. Akuzai fights a version of himself that never grieved Aera. Tanishk battles his emotionless double who controls the Pulseblade perfectly but feels nothing. Aditya burns his alternate self alive, whispering an apology. The group wins, but it comes at a cost: their timeline begins to unravel faster.

They realize that The Breachwalker—a being that predates time—is influencing the Rewrite behind the Prophet. Its goal is not control—but erasure.

Akuzai looks into the sky and sees cracks forming across the stars. One line splits Earth in half.

He tightens his grip on the Eternis Edge. He's not a god—but he's no longer alone.
