"This is getting interesting," Karnel muttered, lowering his head to ignore the unknown presence rapidly approaching Earth. His attention returned to the battlefield below, where the real action was about to begin.
Goku watched his friends being defeated in such a short time, and his blood began to boil. The energy in his body condensed and gathered, his power rising steadily.
"Hmph! Are you finally going to take action against these small fry, Kakarot?" Vegeta stood without a trace of dust on his armor, as if he hadn't experienced a battle at all.
The energy around Goku's body intensified, his combat power reaching 70,000. He looked at Vegeta with genuine caution. "You're very strong. I'll have to go all out!"
Vegeta barely acknowledged him. In his opinion, Kakarot's current strength was impressive, but obviously not enough to challenge the Saiyan prince.
Karnel watched the two warriors preparing for battle, then quickly stood up and walked forward. He casually picked up the bodies of Krillin, Yamcha, and the others who had given Vegeta what could only be described as a pentakill, unceremoniously depositing them on the ground nearby.
Master Roshi squatted down and carefully examined the injuries of the fallen warriors. Finding that although the wounds were serious, they weren't life-threatening, he nodded with satisfaction. "They'll live."
"Master Roshi, you're still as heartless as ever," Karnel commented, giving the old martial artist a thumbs up. "Not even a concerned word for their serious injuries. You have a bright future in battlefield medicine."
"Their lives aren't in danger, they're just temporarily unconscious," Master Roshi replied, his eyes already focused on the two figures preparing to clash in the distance. "Don't worry too much. For martial artists, this kind of injury is nothing."
Karnel waved his hand dismissively. "Tsk tsk! In that case, I won't waste my sympathy on them either." He turned his attention back to the two figures, one in orange, one in blue, who were about to engage in serious combat.
"Kakarot was forced to use the Kaio-ken so quickly," Karnel observed, settling comfortably under the shade of a tree. "It seems that facing Vegeta with a combat power of nearly 300,000 is putting serious pressure on him." He watched the developing battle with mild interest, like someone observing an entertaining but predictable sporting event.
Goku had already activated his Kaio-ken times three, hoping he could turn the situation around, but it quickly became apparent that it wasn't nearly enough. He was still at a severe disadvantage, taking several punches that sent him reeling.
"Kakarot, that technique of yours is quite impressive," Vegeta called out, floating in the sky and looking down at Goku with royal arrogance. "It can triple your strength in an instant. But it's useless against me! Prince Vegeta! With my 280,000 combat power! Use whatever techniques you have, I'm curious to see them all!"
"Kaio-ken times four!" Goku gritted his teeth and roared, his muscles tensing as his strength doubled once again. His power finally matched Vegeta's, creating a sense of equilibrium in the battle.
"Hehe! Vegeta, this is the Kaio-ken times four. Let's have another good fight!" Goku said confidently, clenching his fist as explosive power coursed through his body.
Vegeta stared at Goku in genuine shock, his eyes widening. "You... that physical technique called Kaio-ken can actually increase your strength so many times? How is this possible?"
"This is a move I learned from King Kai with great difficulty," Goku replied, already feeling a tearing sensation beginning in his body. "I have to finish this fight quickly!"
"Ha!"
Goku's light red figure flickered rapidly through the sky, leaving dozens of afterimages. The frequency of his movement became faster and faster until all the shadows disappeared, and so did Goku himself.
Karnel watched Vegeta searching around with his eyes in confusion and couldn't help but laugh. He whispered to Master Roshi, "Don't look around, look up!"
"What a show-off trick!" Karnel shook his head as he watched Goku silently descending toward Vegeta's head using Earth's gravity. "Kakarot just loves this kind of flashy nonsense."
"If he had that much time, he might as well dodge behind him and punch directly," Karnel continued his commentary. "It would be more effective. Why make a sneak attack so dramatic?"
He continued explaining to Master Roshi, "This move isn't very practical. Look, not only did Kakarot completely miss Vegeta, he got kicked in the back for his trouble."
Master Roshi, being an experienced martial artist, agreed with this assessment. "That's right! It's a waste of energy. If you do this a few more times, you'll soon be defeated due to lack of physical strength while your opponent remains fresh."
The battle lasted surprisingly long. Half an hour had passed, and the two were still going at it with equal intensity.
"They really are good friends," Karnel observed with amusement. "They developed such rapport so quickly. After all that training in the gravity room, Kakarot can maintain the four-times Kaio-ken for this long..." He watched the two warriors who seemed to be enjoying their extended sparring session.
Suddenly, Karnel's expression changed. His head snapped upward, and his casual demeanor disappeared entirely.
"Here they come!"
A golden light flashed in the sky, and in an instant, before the sound even arrived, the figure had reached them.
"KAKAROT!"
BOOM!
The ground where the two had been fighting was suddenly struck by golden light, creating a shocking explosion. Everything within several hundred meters was blown to ashes, leaving a massive crater more than ten meters deep. In the center of the pit stood a powerful Saiyan, and if you looked closely, you could see that his hair was rapidly changing to green along with the faint aura surrounding his upper body.
Fortunately, Vegeta and Goku had sensed something was wrong early and dodged to the side, avoiding what would have been a fatal attack.
"It's Broly," Karnel whispered, his eyes fixed on the figure rapidly transforming into the legendary Super Saiyan. "How did he suddenly appear on Earth?"
"KAKAROT!" The voice boomed across the battlefield, filled with an rage that seemed to shake the very air around them.
