Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Power Levels of the Shinobi World

"Heh… hehehe…"

Walking down the street, Hyūga Yuuto suddenly let out a stifled giggle.

"What's so funny?" his mother, Hyūga Miwa, asked, glancing at him curiously as she held his hand.

"Oh, nothing. Just excited to make some new friends at the academy!" Yuuto answered casually.

In truth, the initial shock had passed, and now the full thrill of transmigration was rushing over him.

He had really transmigrated.

To the Hidden Leaf Village, no less.

"Okay, deep breaths. Calm down. You're grinning like a donut…"

Honestly, crossing into Konoha was way better than illegally immigrating somewhere in the real world. At least here, you weren't dodging bullets, facing discrimination, or starving in some back alley.

And chakra? Chakra changed everything.

It wasn't just a power system—it was like getting access to magic, martial arts, and immortal cultivation all at once. A single isekai fulfilling every boyhood fantasy.

"And let's not forget—Konoha has plenty of single, beautiful women. Top-tier too."

Yes, he meant Tsunade.

"As they say: If you live a life without marrying the Fifth Hokage, what was the point of it all? This time around, I'm shooting my shot!"

Marrying Tsunade might even help him solve the Caged Bird Seal issue. She was a seal master and a medical genius—if anyone could figure it out, it'd be her.

"Besides, imagine just saying: 'Tsunade is my wife.' The Hyūga Elders would beg to remove the seal!"

FWIP!

Just as he was getting carried away with daydreams, Yuuto felt a sudden yank on his hand as Miwa pulled him toward the roadside.

A black shadow leapt across a nearby wall—fast.

Then—fwip! fwip!—two black-clad figures followed in hot pursuit, ninja flak jackets visible under their cloaks.

"Uchiha," Yuuto blinked. So… the clan was still around?

"That was someone from the Uchiha clan," Miwa explained gently, noting his gaze. "You'll likely have classmates from the Uchiha too. If they're talented… maybe just give in a little. If they're not, well…"

She didn't finish the sentence, but Yuuto understood.

The Hyūga and Uchiha clans had always been low-key rivals—both vying for the title of "Konoha's strongest."

"And frankly," he thought, "the Uchiha were winning."

One-on-one duels? The Uchiha had earned a fearsome rep. Even on the battlefield, their kill counts and contributions were louder.

The Hyūga, despite their value, were often overshadowed.

Why?

Because Konoha's entire merit system was biased.

The Uchiha were celebrated for flashy kills. The Hyūga's strategic importance—reconnaissance, surveillance, precision strikes—was undervalued.

"You could probably remove the Uchiha and still win most battles. But without the Hyūga? Konoha would've been steamrolled long ago."

And yet…

"Even with all the discrimination, the Uchiha were still treated better than the Hyūga."

"Miwa!"

"Lady Shinrei!"

They had reached the outskirts of the academy now. Other parents and children were gathering, and familiar faces popped up.

A woman in a floral dress and elegant waves greeted them, her aura reminiscent of a classic Hong Kong drama star. A round-faced boy—barely a meter tall—peeked from behind her.

"Is this your son? He's so adorable!"

"Not at all! Your little Shinta is just as cute!"

Miwa smiled warmly and nudged Yuuto forward.

"This is Aunt Shinrei—she's a dear friend of mine. You be nice to Shinta, okay?"

Friendships at this age were mostly parent-assigned. Not that Yuuto minded. He was thinking tactically:

"Who knows, maybe I'll unlock a Chatting skill out of this?"

"Hi! I'm Hyūga Yuuto—you can just call me Yuuto!"

"Oh! I'm Shinrei Shinta—you can call me Shinta then!"

The two boys shook hands with cheerful grins.

"Are you guys a ninja clan too?" Yuuto asked.

He didn't remember any "Shinrei" clan in the manga, but not every family got screen time.

"Oh, no no!" Shinta shook his head quickly, afraid to claim such status. "We used to be court officials in the Land of Fire. My dad was the first one in our family to become a ninja."

"Ahh. Civilian-born ninja. Got it," Yuuto noted.

He thought about asking what rank his dad was—genin or chūnin—but figured that might be too personal.

They continued chatting, the conversation flowing easily. Yuuto found Shinta to be a likable kid.

In the Naruto games, Konoha's city map looked tiny. Probably smaller than a real mansion's yard.

Even the anime didn't depict it as very large—one YouTuber calculated it to have a diameter of only 700 meters, which was ridiculous. At that size, no ninja should ever be "late for backup" during the Nine-Tails attack.

Fortunately, the official data was more realistic:

Konoha's main city area: 40 million square meters (40 sq km).

That was basically the size of a small modern city—a Chinese county-level city's downtown area.

If it had high-rise buildings like a modern city, it could easily fit 800,000 people.

But with mostly low-rise houses and compounds, the actual population was likely between 150,000 to 200,000.

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, the Five Great Nations mustered 100,000 ninja. If Konoha contributed the most, around 25,000, then that would imply a total population of about 200,000.

"Yeah. Sounds right."

Yuuto looked around at the streets they walked through and confirmed: the official scale felt accurate.

Which also made the Uchiha's resentment more understandable.

"Their clan wasn't just 'relocated.' They were evicted from the city center and pushed miles out to the fringes!"

Konoha's Hokage wasn't just a "village chief." He had the powers of a mayor, the authority of a military general, and the reach of a governor.

Yuuto originally didn't care about that title.

"Being a 'village leader' sounded boring. But if we're talking mayor of a city this size… well, that's worth considering."

And then there was that memory.

Pain's Shinra Tensei.

If Konoha was really this big, then Pain didn't just nuke a tiny town—he wiped out a city with a single jutsu.

"That blast must've covered 40 million square meters. That's a 7-kilometer diameter!"

Just for comparison:

Little Boy, the Hiroshima bomb?

Destructive radius: 2 km

Infrared/heat radius: 7 km

So, Pain's one jutsu had the destructive power of 13 nuclear bombs.

"No wonder he called himself a god…"

And the craziest part?

Pain wasn't even the strongest. He wasn't the final boss.

Above him were:

Six Paths Madara

Sage of Six Paths

Kaguya Otsutsuki

"The power ceiling in this world… is absolutely insane."

Yuuto clenched his fists. His eyes gleamed with excitement.

"But I'm here now."

That meant he could climb that ladder too.

One day, he'd craft an entrance more legendary than any that came before.

"When I arrive… even Madara's entrance will look boring in comparison."
