Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Galactic Patrolman Jaco

A full month had passed in the blink of an eye.

During that time, Hanasia had been sent back to Planet Vegeta by Lynx to focus on training. Lynx himself had been living alone at the Brief family's home, spending his days training inside the 50x Gravity Room, waiting for Dr. Brief to complete the development of the healing pods and additional gravity chambers.

Because Lynx shared meals and daily life with the Briefs, his relationship with the whole family gradually became much closer.

Mrs. Brief even began teasing him about his "relationship" with her two daughters—saying he might as well marry one of them. Even joked that it didn't matter if he already had someone like Hanasia.

"After all," she said with a wink, "a king like you should have lots of wives, right?"

Surprisingly, even Dr. Brief agreed—and envied him, no less.

Clearly, these two were every bit as quirky as their canon counterparts.

Lynx, of course, politely declined. He might've been a Dragon Ball fan before arriving in this world, but he had no intention of starting a romantic relationship with any of the characters from the original story.

His thing with Hanasia? Just physical needs—nothing more.

That said, Tights seemed to have something else on her mind. She often came to chat with Lynx after he left the Gravity Room, asking him about Saiyan lore.

Of course, she claimed it was all for her new sci-fi novel.

Unlike Dr. Brief and Bulma, Tights was a full-blown literary type. She was already a decently known author in sci-fi circles.

As for the younger Bulma, she pretended not to notice her parents' teasing remarks. But whenever she and Lynx were alone, her cheeks would turn beet red. She even got especially involved in helping develop the healing pod and gravity room.

Sometimes, if she saw Lynx talking to Tights, she'd get this subtle, lonely expression on her little face.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what she was feeling.

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion echoed from the 50x Gravity Room, filling the chamber with smoke and debris.

When the smoke cleared, Lynx was lying flat on the ground, grimacing in pain.

But after just a few breaths, the pain faded—his body slowly rose to its feet, seemingly unharmed.

And the amazing part? He hadn't even used a single Senzu Bean.

He'd taken a full-power ki blast from himself earlier, nearly crippling—but now, he was back on his feet like nothing happened.

This incredible resilience came from the mysterious Legendary Saiyan bloodline flowing through his veins.

Over the past month of training, Lynx had gradually confirmed a theory:His bloodline wasn't quite like Broly's in this world.

According to the system, his was the classic Broly version of the Legendary Super Saiyan line—older, yes, but offering unmatched durability and recovery.

While it didn't boost strength growth as explosively as this world's Broly, his body could regenerate and withstand punishment to a freakish degree.

No Senzu Beans needed. Just lay there for a bit, and he'd bounce back from near death.

This unique trait had let Lynx adapt to the crushing pressure of 50x gravity in just one month. His battle power had risen by a whopping 200,000.

Name: Lin Chen

Battle Power: 890,000

Bloodline: Legendary Super Saiyan

Skills: Instant Transmission, Ki Mastery

"Lynx!"

Just then, the comms device in the room lit up with Tights' voice.

Wiping sweat from his brow, Lin Chen walked to the door and pressed the button.

"What's up?"

"Remember I told you about my friend, Jaco? He's here!"

"Oh? Alright, I'll be out in a minute."

Jaco—Tights' old friend and a Galactic Patrolman.

Lynx had a plan for the Saiyans' future, and he knew that Galactic Patrol HQ might be key.

So he'd asked Tights to contact Jaco and have him visit Earth.

When Lynx finally stepped out of the gravity room, clean and dressed, he spotted Tights chatting with what looked like a miniature Ultraman.

That alien? None other than Jaco himself.

"Hello," Lynx greeted.

"Hi th—" Jaco began, but the moment he saw Lin Chen's tail, he froze in place.

"S-Saiyan?!"

"That's right. I'm a Saiyan. You can call me Lynx" Lynx said calmly.

Jaco instantly whipped out a laser gun, stepping in front of Tights.

"Tights, get back! He's a dangerous Saiyan! I'll cover you—take your family and run! Leave Earth if you must! Hurry—"

BONK!

Tights smacked Jaco over the head with a frying pan from who-knows-where.

"You idiot! I told you—Lynx is a friend! You're here because I asked you to meet him!"

"Wha—but he's—"

"Mr. Jaco," Lynx interrupted, "please relax. The Saiyans have changed. I asked Tights to invite you because she said you were one of the Galactic Patrol's elite officers, and I'd like to request your help."

Just like in Lynx's memory, Jaco was incredibly vain and had a fragile ego.

So when Lynx praised him as a "super-elite," Jaco puffed up immediately.

"Well, I mean… she's not wrong! So, Mr. Saiyan—what do you need?"

"I want to meet the Galactic King."

"The King?!" Jaco instantly raised his guard. "What for? You're not… trying to assassinate him, are you?!"

"Of course not. In fact, I'm a king too—King of the Saiyans. I'd like to propose a formal alliance with your Galactic King."

Lynx smiled at Jaco and added,

"This isn't up for negotiation. I don't have time to waste. So I hope you'll agree—right now."

As he spoke, Lynx raised his right hand.

Without anyone noticing, he'd somehow grabbed Jaco's laser gun.

Then, with a casual squeeze, crushed it into a metal ball and tossed it back to him.

Jaco stared at the iron lump in his hands, expression stiff.

"W-Wow… didn't realize I was in the presence of royalty! Right! Well, uh—no time like the present. Let's go!"

Though he was technically a Galactic Patrolman, Jaco's actual power wasn't much stronger than an Earthling.

So once Lynx showed a glimpse of real power, he instantly became docile and obedient.

Shortly after, with Jaco's guidance, Lynx locked onto the Galactic King's location, then took Tights and Jaco with him using Instant Transmission.

Moments later—just as the trio vanished—a cheerful voice rang out nearby.

"Lynx-oniichan! The healing pods and gravity rooms are finished! Lynx-oniichan—!"

Bulma ran up to the training room, face glowing with excitement.

But when she saw the open door and the empty chamber, she froze.

Just then, Mrs. Brief strolled by casually.

"Mom? Where's Lynx-oniichan?"

"Oh, Lynx? Tights said they were going on a little trip. Not sure when they'll be back."

Bulma's excited expression instantly fell.

Mrs. Brief gave her daughter a sly smile.

"Oh my… Bulma, don't tell me you're jealous?"

"W-What?! No way! Don't say weird stuff, Mom!"

Flushed and flustered, the little girl puffed her cheeks and ran off in a huff.
