His intimidating yet tempting figure spread across the fluffy sofa, a cup of wine in his hand, his legs crossed, and his beautiful face altogether, which made the air around me stiff.
His rich minty coffee scent made me heady, and I fought to stop my legs from wobbling.
"You sent for me." I managed to say, with the eruption within me, I was scared I wouldn't be able to construct a sentence without having to stutter.
His face was a mix of surprise and nonchalance. He didn't reply me and instead pinned his gaze on me, on my face and the way it was going on for minutes, it felt like if he looked any longer, his eyes were going to peel my skin.
So I spoke up.
"I told the girl to leave, I didn't want to wear any makeup tonight," I said when I figured that he was looking at my face because it was bare.
My dress was pretty basic, too, like I was going for a stroll.
I didn't want to do anything fancy to make him feel like I was anticipating his call or was excited about it.
