Chapter 165 - The Seal!

The Titled Douluo's body was battered and bruised, with not a single patch of him unscathed after enduring the Zhu Xian Sword Formation.

He still had some soul power left, but not even the strength to activate a soul skill!

Jiang Shengyu carried the Twilight Sword as he walked toward him. He looked on indifferently at the man struggling to crawl to his feet, utterly unable to support his own body.

Yet, Jiang Shengyu's own chest was still heaving violently. Even with Snow Empress constantly sustaining the soul power cyclone for him, forcibly channeling such an overwhelming power was no small burden.

Glancing at the faint patterns on his skin that were gradually fading away, Jiang Shengyu sighed.

Still not strong enough!

I need to be stronger!

Even just serving as a conduit for this immense energy, his body was already at its breaking point. If all that boundless power had truly poured into him, he would have exploded long ago.

From now on, he couldn't afford to borrow strength like this so recklessly—it only bred dependence and laziness.

"You… who the hell are you!? A five-ring Soul King could never wield such power! You're a ferocious beast, aren't you? You must be a ferocious beast!"

The Titled Douluo was nothing like the arrogant figure who had followed Undying Poison into battle. Now, panic and helplessness clouded his face. The dramatic reversal in power and status almost made Jiang Shengyu laugh.

Resting the Twilight Sword on the man's shoulder, Jiang Shengyu let the aura of Ultimate Ice seep into his body. At his peak, this amount of cold would have been meaningless to a Titled Douluo—but in his current state, it was enough to make him tremble uncontrollably.

The frost slowly crept downward from his shoulder, encasing half his body in a layer of ice. Ironically, the freezing even slowed the worsening of his injuries, prolonging his survival.

"When you came here with your Sect Master, weren't you full of swagger?" Jiang Shengyu said calmly, watching the trembling man. "Why are you shaking now? Is it from the cold… or from fear?"

The Titled Douluo gave no reply. He still carried the pride of a Title Bearer. Even defeated, as a member of the Body Sect, he would never grovel.

Jiang Shengyu never expected an answer anyway. Instead, he called out:

"Di Tian. Senior Di Tian, are you there?"

There was no response. Jiang Shengyu then raised the Reverse Scale, and under the astonished gaze of the Titled Douluo, he called out several more times.

Finally, a spatial rift tore open, and Di Tian, clad in black, stepped out.

"Where did you disappear to just now? Why didn't you answer?" Jiang Shengyu asked, puzzled.

Di Tian replied, "Were you just now speaking with the god whose legacy you bear? I heard your voice, so I concealed myself. For me, gods are nothing but trouble."

Understanding the situation, Jiang Shengyu reassured him with a smile. "Don't worry, it's fine."

But Di Tian's gaze soon shifted to Jiang Shengyu's storage-type soul tool. With his vision, he naturally recognized that the power Jiang Shengyu used to conjure that immense mountain of ice wasn't solely his own.

"There's something unusual sealed inside that storage soul tool of yours, isn't there?" Di Tian said, eyes narrowing.

At his words, Jiang Shengyu immediately felt Snow Empress tense up, though he kept a calm facade. "Of course it's unusual. I've stored a treasure inside. Senior Di Tian, don't tell me you're eyeing my treasure?"

Di Tian withdrew his gaze, answering evenly: "What treasure could you possibly have that would interest me?"

"Fair point. What hasn't the Beast God seen in these hundreds of thousands of years?" Jiang Shengyu said with a flattering grin.

"Spare me the pointless flattery."

Di Tian shook his head, his expression turning serious. "When you created that ice mountain earlier, the soul power cyclone you formed already showed signs of a soul core. I won't ask whether that power was truly yours or borrowed. But if you refine it carefully, you might become the first human in history to condense a soul core at the Soul King realm."

Hearing this, Jiang Shengyu understood the implication, though he feigned surprise. "Forming a soul core as a Soul King… That sounds far too outrageous, doesn't it?"

Di Tian neither confirmed nor denied it. Instead, he studied Jiang Shengyu carefully. When he noticed the cracks on Jiang Shengyu's skin knitting back together, his expression darkened in astonishment.

"Your body is truly strange! To withstand such colossal energy, and even begin recovering on its own?"

—The ability to endure immense energy.

That was the gift that Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong should have received from Fate at the very moment they crossed into this world. But the sudden appearance of the Azure-marked Unicorn had completely disrupted Fate's plans.

It was proof of just how little control Fate now had over the Douluo Continent.

"My body's just… healthy, I guess," Jiang Shengyu said with a light smile.

"So then… why did you call me out?" Di Tian asked. Jiang Shengyu's unflinching smile reminded him too much of Jiang Qingtong. The resemblance between the siblings was uncanny.

Jiang Shengyu pointed at the half-frozen Titled Douluo on the ground. "I'd like to trouble you with one thing—please place a seal on each of them, one that locks away their soul power."

Di Tian gave a dismissive glance at the fallen enemies.

That Titled Douluo had been completely shaken since the moment Di Tian appeared. The presence of the Beast God was simply too overwhelming. He hadn't even processed the earlier conversation between Jiang Shengyu and Di Tian.

All he knew was: the Beast God Di Tian stood before him, and Jiang Shengyu clearly had ties to him. As for all that talk about gods—he hadn't even registered it.

When Di Tian's gaze swept over him, he collapsed entirely, fainting dead away.

To such worthless humans, Di Tian showed no mercy. With a casual wave of his hand, several seals sank into their bodies.

"It's done. Unless someone stronger than me intervenes, these seals cannot be undone."

"That might be… a little too much," Jiang Shengyu said quickly, waving his hands.

Di Tian raised a brow. "Then what do you want?"

Jiang Shengyu smiled faintly. "Set the seal so that only I can undo it."

At that, Di Tian immediately understood Jiang Shengyu's intent. "Undying Poison of the Body Sect is a level ninety-eight Super Douluo. To play such games with him… boy, you're flirting with fire."

"The bigger the waves, the higher the price of the fish," Jiang Shengyu replied calmly
