Chapter 24 - Decision

Arya didn't like killing.

If it was possible, she really didn't want to kill her target. Because she knew very well that she had no right to decide on other people's lives.

It would be better to hand them over to the law institution to be judged.

But as an undercover agent, it was impossible for her to do so.

It was even more so because the organization she was affiliated with would not interfere with the local police and so on. She had no one to contact even if she wanted to save someone.

The only thing she could do was to release her hand and let them go as appropriate.

Of course, if they dared to cross her and try to harm her, then she would not mind killing them instead.

The line between right and wrong had long been blurred.

It seemed as if committing crimes and killing people had become something she did on daily basis.

It was hard for ordinary people not to fall into the darkness in this kind of environment.

"This time… let me do it in my own way."

Because she was playing the support role before, Arya didn't do much and only gather a few superficial information. Well, some of them were quite important such as determining the target's location.

However, most of the tasks were not exactly done like that.

She also played the role of someone whose information was not much and let Miro deal with it himself.

Anyway, he was capable enough.

Arya didn't think that it was necessary for her to help him that much.

But now that she was given a solo missions, the only thing that she could do was to go out and went to the designated location.

The task was to kill a certain businessman who wanted to betray the organization.

It would be easy to kill him with a sniper rifle, but the organization didn't really want to kill people so blatantly every single day. After all, using a sniper rifle would make it obvious and conducted targeted investigation.

But if they were to use other harmless method, it could be disguised as accident, suicide, or something like that.

'Hmm, let's wear this dress.'

Arya looked at the information given to her and knew that the target was going to attend a party. But it wouldn't be easy to get close to the target because there were a lot of bodyguards around him.

It seemed that he should be prepared to face the organization and arranged for people to protect him.

But it wouldn't stop Arya.

"Miss Kenner, please enjoy the party."

The man who saw the invitation's name quickly saluted.

"Thank you." Arya smiled.

Her name is still Arya Heinz, but she's staying under Sarah Kenner, a very popular person in other Country Base. With this identity, she could do many things conveniently.

Walking into the party, Arya greeted the few people politely with a bright smile on her lips before heading towards the dessert areas. Her love for desserts was not exactly a secret and Arya didn't have any plan to change it.

From the corner of her eyes, she could see the target was being guarded strictly by the bodyguards.

They didn't allow anyone to get close to him in the slightest bit.

'It's truly a tight protection.'

Arya lowered her eyes and then moved her gaze towards another person, the businessman's rival. To be honest, when she came here, she was a bit surprised when she saw this person.

Because she could see the hatred and determination in the eyes of this man.

Determination to kill.

It was luck for her to see him or perhaps it was bad luck for him? Because no one would talk to him to prevent him from making a decision that he might regret in his entire life.

If she had been a real criminal, she would have been laughing happily.

But she's not.

Arya slowly walked and stopped behind the man while holding a plate holding a cake. She looked like she was eating, but she was actually speaking.

"Don't turn around. Would you regret your decision?" Arya asked in a low voice.

If he regretted it, she will make the target die in an accident. But if he truly wanted to go through it, then she will proceed as if she knew nothing and just watched the show from the side.

"No," the man answered.

He didn't even know who was talking to him, but the voice of the person behind him made him know that he could trust the other party.

It was a strange feeling.

"I understand," Arya replied in a low voice and then moved away from her position. Since he had decided to take revenge with his own hands, then she would not interfere with his decision.

As for the surveillance… Arya glanced at the camera and moved her eyes away.

It could not capture what she said, so no matter what the man said in the end, it could not prove that she was involved in this mission.

The man turned around and frowned when he saw that there were a lot of people behind him. But soon afterwards, he put his thoughts back to the person in front of him and hatred spewed in his eyes once again.

He would not be satisfied with letting the law handled him.

He had to do it himself!

There was no need for her to make a move by herself as she made her way to the side while holding the cake and then glanced at the rain outside. Her eyes flickered slightly and the next moment, there was loud thunder outside followed by the electricity being cut off.

From this position, Arya could see that man lunged forward and killed the target that she wanted to kill before being knocked by the bodyguard.

But it was enough.

The stab's position was fatal enough and the target will die out of blood loss in half a minute at most.
