On the highest floor of the Aureate Company's main building and in a spacious room for facilitating important meetings and briefings, such an important meeting was about to commence.
All the higher-ups of the Aureate Company, including the President, Chief Directors and significant shareholders gathered today to make crucial decisions for the future of the company.
They were about to begin their meeting when the doors to the room opened without prior warning.
Immediately surprised, they turned to see who just came in so rudely, only to be greeted by an unfamiliar face and someone of a different race no less. They were shocked speechless for a moment. Just the stranger's appearance there was so unlikely to occur that so far, such an instance was considered to be impossible in their minds.
Only members of their race were allowed on this floor and only a select few; most of them were already there with them, seated. They began to question in their minds what happened to the guard on the floor's entrance and to the force field barrier right outside the room. Somehow, he bypassed both security measures and reached this room.
"How the hell did he enter in here?"
"What about Patrick, we didn't even receive a warning alarm from him?"
"Even if he somehow got past Patrick, how did he enter with the barrier in place?"
Murmurs like that began to fill the room, with the high-ranked Goldifens of the company asking the ones closest to them about their doubts.
Right in the middle of their muted voices, they saw the stranger taking a step forward, his intent to fully enter the room, heading straight for one of the back chairs.
They were shocked by his rudeness, and the President of the company more so than them, with anger slowly overtaking his shock. A stranger just barged in uninvited and acted like he owned the place.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?!" Infuriated, the President got up to his feet and started yelling at the stranger.
But whatever he asked, the stranger dismissed it without bothering to answer him. This blatant disregard lighted his fuse to his breaking point. He was the President of this enormous company, not just anybody to be treated like smoke!
"Guards what are you doing?! Immediately take this fool out and teach him a lesson that nobody can disrespect this company like this!" he shouted to the guards in all his fury.
'We apparently were too mild in how we projected ourselves to the outside eyes, that they thought they could do whatever they wanted in our territory! This would pass to all the fools like him the correct message, so no one would attempt such disrespect ever again!'
But what he expected never came to be. He was still smirking when all of them witnessed the stranger touch the guards. The next second, the guards turned to dust only for the dust to turn to miniscule particles unseen by the naked eye.
Everyone's expression was frozen, the President still smirking due to his earlier thoughts. The only parts of their body still moving were their tremoring eyes and their stiff necks as they followed the stranger's movement like frightened robots.
As they watched him sit casually on one of the back chairs and take out a very advanced piece of equipment, their minds were still flooded by the earlier scene. They were internally caught in a loop, where the stranger touched the guards, turned them into dust and then into a complete nothing.
'W-What j-just...'
'W-Where d-did...'
'H-How t-the...'
'B-By t-the c-crystal f-f...'
Their minds were still trying to make coherent thoughts with questions when a coughing sound was heard, crudely snapping them out of it.
The stranger was sitting there, staring at them and - as weirdly as it seemed to them - with his body in a position that seemed ready for him to write down notes.
The first one to think straight again was the President. His first thought was how the stranger accomplished such an impossible and horrifying feat.
He was considered one of the strongest in their race, if not the most powerful, but even he was unable to do what the stranger just did seemingly effortlessly, evaporating two guards with just a touch. He could only dream about having such power.
His second thought was also the luckiest and most important he ever conjured in his entire life.
Lucky because he accurately deduced that the stranger wanted to observe them for some reason and take notes of it, and important because he found a way for them to survive being in the same room with such calamity!
Not knowing whether the stranger understood their language or not, he decided to act his next actions assuming he understood.
Looking at his fellow Goldifens sitting with him, he went on to make subtle face and hand signs for them to interpret his plan while at the same time starting an introductory speech about the agenda they would talk about today.
The others were quick on catching the silent signals and understanding his plan. Finding it smart and with a high percentage of success, they went along with it, acting like they were having a regular meeting.
While still nervous of the stranger sitting just a few steps away from them, they went on to cover many already-known things and plans their company was about to do in the near future; anything that wasn't still a secret.
When they covered nearly everything they could think of and were just wrapping things up, stating their end goals, they caught sight of the stranger putting away the advanced device and beginning to stand up.
They instinctively almost jumped off their seats and ran for their lives, fearing for the worst - the worst still fresh in their minds. But instead saw the stranger just looking at them for a moment, his gaze piercing to their souls.
The next thing they knew, the stranger lifted his foot to take a step and then simply disappeared.
After a momentary period of absolute silence due to their shock, a cacophony of voices flooded the conference room.
"What the hell was that?!"
"W-What, w-what just happened?!"
"By the great crystal feathers!"
"This is bad for business!"
"What do we do?! Fast, any ideas please?! Somebody!"
"Let's abandon ship, I mean the planet" an oddly calm voice sounded.
Pretty much everyone turned at once towards the one who suggested it, looking at him with eyes full of incredibleness and disapproval, with some even being expressionless instead from hearing his crazy idea.
"W-What?! We are all thinking about it!" answered the person to the stares. The rest averted their gazes in silence, obviously agreeing with his statement, but unwilling to confess it.
*SMACK* The president hit the table hard, attracting the attention of everyone present.
After he woke up from his shock, the hysterical shouts and yells of the people around him vexed him so much he was practically fuming when he couldn't stand them anymore.
"SILENCE! That was an instant teleportation, and he seemed as if casually walking as he did it!"
"Immediately activate all the security systems of the building and warn all the other major companies on the planet! Send the security footage to the planet's army and tell them to sweep the entirety of it to locate him! They have permission to use any means necessary to obliterate that man from the planet's surface! We can't afford to have someone like him lurking around and teleporting right into our vaults!"
"The vaults!" All were scared shitless from thinking about their potential losses. They immediately took out their portable terminals and after procuring the security footage, they sent a mass message to all their known contacts.
The planet's Goldifen forces went on high alert and every surveillance system available to them was operating to locate the stranger, but even after two months of search they were unsuccessful.
Unable to find the stranger even after searching every nook and cranny of their planet, the Goldifen Race was forced to conclude the searching as failure.
Still fearing for "their" security they decided to send the surveillance footage they gathered, with records of him and his actions, to the Gelic Alliance, in the hopes that with more hands working on the issue the stranger was, eventually he would be found and annihilated.
