Chapter 229 - Chapter 229: The Celebration

Chapter 229: The Celebration

Pokralas Village. Seraph and Fiona began running in the darkness to find Phalen.

Phalen was walking with his younger sister, along with Shuni, who was wearing a blindfold covering her right eye.

Phalen stopped and looked at Fiona. "What do you want?"

Fiona stopped running. With a little effort, she reached her destination.

Phalen had to stop, thinking Fiona still had business to attend to.

She had to stop or she would be chased.

Fiona turned to look behind her and saw little Seraph running, looking extremely tired.

"So slow. Are you playing?"

Fiona began to look slightly angry, like an older sister waiting for her late brother, not paying attention to the time.

Seraph arrived, trying to contain her own exhaustion.

She nearly fainted after closing her eyes for a short while. She had to run with all her might. Her strength had increased. And the energy must have been depleted for a long time.

[Don't these guys feel tired? They're clearly monsters.]

Fiona ignored Seraph and brought them closer together, closing her left eye.

It was a picture of a lovely young woman, asking for a gift from the red-and-white-robed entity.

"Please, Phalen. I'm broke right now. Can I stay at your place? I promise I'll be a good girl. And in the meantime, I'll be your little sister's playmate..."

Phalen looked at the imploring young woman. Her body and voice betrayed laziness.

"Don't lie. If you don't have the money, go hunt demons outside and claim your reward. That's the end of the story."

Phalen grabbed Shuni's shoulder and led her away, uninterested.

Phalen didn't bother to help Fiona, who continued to act cute.

Seraph scanned the people beside her, his distrust growing.

[Is this the Tenshin Academy's number one? Just as silly as Seria.

Are geniuses prone to brain abnormalities? ]

Fiona turned to look at Seraph. "Am I cute?"

Fiona asked Seraph's opinion, gazing at Fiona's adorable expression.

"Very cute."

Fiona nodded. "Then, would you like to help this lovely young lady?"

Seraph nodded. "As long as the noble First Class Teshin can take me back to Gollen Village, I can help you."

Fiona stopped smiling. "Then, congratulations. Let's go. I'll change the subject."

Fiona looked in the direction of Phalen, who was walking with her sister into the Lanna Sect's territory.

Fiona soared into the sky. Whoosh!

Fiona flew at breakneck speed, jumping and spinning, landing. Her destination was right in front of Phalen.

Whoosh!

Phalen stopped, looking at the dust in front of her. There was Fiona, smiling brightly. "You heartless bastard! You said you'd help me. Then what did you ask me for? Why did you refuse?"

Phalen began to feel a little irritated. "Are you trying to make a big deal out of it? I'll handle it."

Fiona shook her head, seeing Seraph walking slowly from so far away that she couldn't hear the three of them.

"Then I'd like to change my request to one pair of Ling Jia shoes and a comfortable bed for one night. That's all."

Phalen was puzzled by Fiona's request. "Ling Jia shoes, level three shoes, with the ability to fly back to their destination. They can only be used once. Why do you want them?"

Fiona glanced at Seraph. "I thought of something interesting, so I need them. So, prepare them." Then, let's celebrate tonight!

"Oh...!" Shuni agreed, her hands clenched tightly, and she followed Fiona's hand. "Oh... a celebration!"

Fiona raised her hands to the sky, as if clutching the stars in her fists.

"Oh... this is life, this is fun. Before you die, have fun. When you die, all the fun will be gone."

Shunni saw Fiona's eyes, like something was sparkling.

Shunni's heart beat slowly, as if something was about to awaken. Thud thud thud thud thud thud.

Shunni raised both hands to the sky. "A celebration...! Yay!"

Phalen looked at the two, who were looking at each other closely. "Alright, Ling Jia's shoes and a night's stay with me at the lodge. Is that enough?"

And so, the four of them headed towards the Lanna Sect.

The four of them arrived at the Lanna Sect. The yellow barrier remained open, with two rings rotating in the sky.

Seraph saw only yellow light, unable to see inside.

Seraph stepped into the yellow space.

His eyes flickered slightly. It was vast, filled with houses. The streets were made of dirt.

The houses were lined up in orderly rows. People were wearing the yellow robes of the Lanna Sect.

They were walking around in a hurry.

The sky was filled with two rings, rotating slowly. They were enormous.

The lights were bright inside, and people were talking. The streets were filled with people.

"Looks like there's a fight outside, and there's a lot of casualties."

The voice of the person talking said, "I've heard that too. It seems the reason the Lanna Sect is in such a hurry is this."

"It's no wonder they're moving so much." I almost didn't dare go outside.

"I hope my son makes it back in safely."

People were chattering outside.

Everyone was secretly looking at the newcomer, their faces expressing extreme caution.

Seraph looked at Fiona. "Why is this place so different from the outside? What happened?"

Fiona nodded proudly, as if it were her hometown.

"You wonder? When I came here, I was shocked. Such an interesting place, so isolated from the outside world, it felt like another city."

Seraph nodded, looking at everyone wearing Lanna sect robes.

Phalen explained further, "Those who can enter this place must be acquainted with the Lanna sect. In other words, if you cause any trouble, I will take full responsibility."

Fiona gave a thumbs up. "No problem. I'll stay here."

I'll never cause you any trouble. I guarantee it.

Phalen looked at the girl, confident she wouldn't cause any trouble.

But she thought sadly, "Isn't it because you didn't want to cause trouble that you caused it?"

Fiona walked with ease, as if it were her own home. There were people crying over the loss of someone important to her, and there were also people who were cheerful, and the restaurant was still open.

Time passed. The four of them walked for a long time until they reached their destination, a two-story house made of brown wood.

People were walking by.

There were houses like this lined up in rows.

Phalen looked at the door and opened it. Squeak...

The door creaked open slightly, revealing the interior, decorated in a simple manner.

Phalen walked into the house, and Shuni ran in happily.

"Come in. Don't do anything unusual. I'm going to treat Shuni's eyes. So while we wait, you guys go buy some things to celebrate." And prepare.

Fiona raised her right hand to her eyebrows. "Yes, Yoss. Fiona Number 1 will complete the mission."

Shuni followed Fiona's lead. "Very good. From now on, I'll leave the rest to you. Throw a huge celebration party."

Fiona flashed a toothy smile. "Agreed. I'll risk my life for this mission. Have a safe trip."

Phalen pulled Shuni out of the house and placed the money on the table.

Seraph, who stood there silently, could only think, [Seriously? Is this the time to celebrate?]

Meanwhile, outside, it was like a sea of sadness. Why are they in all different directions?

Never mind. These people must be thinking this way.

Who are those guys outside? I don't know them. Is there no need to sympathize with them? "
