"Sir, a high-energy reaction has been detected above Skull Island."

Because the Avengers had established a new base on Skull Island, the wealthy Tony Stark directly positioned a satellite above the island. His sole purpose was to facilitate the transportation of his teleportation equipment.

Therefore, when Godzilla's atomic breath pierced the barrier above Skull Island, JARVIS immediately detected the anomaly. Fortunately, the atomic beam wasn't too close—only about 10 kilometers away, still far from the satellite orbiting more than 300 kilometers above.

Otherwise, under Godzilla's atomic breath, Tony might not have received JARVIS's message at all.

"The high-energy backflow transmitted the satellite video signal to me."

After hearing JARVIS report the high-energy reaction, Tony's first thought was actually the Trident of Poseidon that Clark had mentioned earlier. After all, anything powerful enough to be detected from such altitude—even by JARVIS—must have an extremely high energy coefficient. Although Tony himself wasn't on Skull Island, he had the satellite, so he immediately had JARVIS relay the satellite's video feed.

Once connected, Tony saw Godzilla roaring at the sky, flames spewing from its mouth. Under the assault, the barrier surrounding Skull Island began to turn translucent.

Tony realized that if Godzilla continued, the barrier might not hold. He was very satisfied with this defensive shield and didn't want it destroyed just because of Godzilla's outburst.

So Tony patted Clark, who was watching the convergence of the Nine Realms, and said,

"Clark, want to head back to Skull Island first? Your little pet seems… off."

"What's wrong with him?"

"Looks like I ate too much chili—my mouth feels like it's breathing fire."

"Alright."

Clark was momentarily speechless, but he knew Tony wasn't joking. Godzilla really was breathing fire.

Have you awakened your atomic breath?

At that moment, Clark opened a portal to Skull Island.

As soon as it opened, he saw a laser-like beam piercing the island's barrier and shooting straight into the sky.

Clark frowned at the barrier as it gradually became transparent, eventually revealing the real sky beyond. He didn't know that even if Godzilla destroyed the barrier, it would eventually repair itself.

Clark followed the path of pure strength—he could destroy barriers, but he couldn't repair them.

Not knowing when Godzilla would stop, Clark rushed above Godzilla and directly blocked the atomic breath with his bare hands.

With the destructive source cut off, the hidden barrier above Skull Island slowly began to self-repair.

Clark felt a slight warmth in his hands. As a Superman powered by sunlight—someone who could withstand direct stellar radiation—Godzilla's atomic breath was insignificant by comparison. Even at that temperature, Clark's skin wasn't burned.

But that didn't mean the atomic breath was weak. Clark could clearly feel its power. Ignoring impact and other factors, its temperature alone exceeded 6,000 degrees.

That might not sound extreme, but it was enough to melt most materials on Earth within seconds.

However, such power came with enormous energy consumption. Even a creature as massive as Godzilla would begin to run out of energy after sustaining the breath for nearly a minute.

"Burp~"

Godzilla let out a belch, ending the first atomic breath of his life. An overwhelming exhaustion washed over him—far stronger than when Clark had previously defeated him.

Without even noticing Clark above, Godzilla collapsed and fell into deep sleep.

Hovering in the sky, Clark wondered if this was Godzilla's way of escaping danger, but he wasn't sure. After all, Godzilla often entered deep sleep after severe injury or extreme exhaustion.

Clark chose not to disturb him. The barrier was intact again—this time, he'd let it slide. After a moment's thought, Clark flew toward the New Avengers' base.

As the Nine Realms' convergence ended, Tony had brought everyone who had been in Greenwich, London, here.

After all, there was no more convenient transit point than Skull Island—wherever you went, it only took two steps.

For most people, this was their first visit to the legendary island and the new Avengers base. Naturally, no one left immediately. Instead, they visited Tony and toured the facility.

It was just a tour, though—there wasn't much to see yet. Most of the base consisted of office spaces, and since it wasn't officially operational, many areas were still empty.

Still, Clark believed it would soon be crowded.

After all, he had no intention of intervening in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s collapse. The organization's ties with HYDRA were too deep—there was no other way to eliminate HYDRA except by sweeping them all away.
