I was still standing in the middle of the corridor when the world slowly slipped back into place, people walking past, a printer humming, a few staff members glancing at me.
I must've frozen long enough to accidentally become a small spectacle.
I only snapped back when someone touched my arm lightly.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Sebastian.
I blinked hard, like he'd just yanked me back into reality.
"Oh…yeah. I'm fine," I said quickly, pressing the end-call button and closing the phone on Juno.
Sebastian kept looking at me, but he didn't push.
He just slipped both hands into his pockets, casual as always.
"Were you looking for Leo?" I asked first, trying to sound normal.
"Yeah," he answered. "Just came back from the meeting."
I looked at him sharply. "Meeting? You just came back?"
Sebastian raised a brow. "Yeah? Why?"
I blinked several times.
"Leo was already in the office earlier. When did you get separated?"
Sebastian let out the most dramatic sigh and rolled his eyes.
