Clenching his hands and feeling every cell in his body, joy filled him. Mad joy.
"Ha-ha-ha."
Wasting no more time, he quickly dressed and flew out into the street. He was filled with excitement for the day ahead. He started running like a madman, looking for the most fun activity he could occupy himself with. But there were so many. Too many that he could try, that he didn't even know where to start - his eyes simply darted in different directions.
"What?!"
"Maybe what?"
Kane's eyes darted in all directions, unable to focus on one thing: he wanted everything at once, but, unfortunately, he couldn't split himself into several parts. So he began to think and choose the most fun thing, for which he was created.
And he galloped off to the dungeons—without weapons, without equipment, just with his bare hands. For fun and excitement. And the fact that this was just the beginning further fueled his excitement.
"First."
"Boring."
"Second."
"Third."
"Fourth."
"Fifth."
"Sixth."
"Seventh."
"Eighth."
"Ninth."
"Tenth."
He descended until he reached the tenth floor. He was… In simple words, it was very boring to fight monsters below the tenth level. He was hoping for the tenth level or higher, because that's where a different level immediately begins: and the monsters are bigger, and many times stronger.
Crack.
Kane didn't hesitate and immediately rushed towards the monsters. And, of course, it was the usual orc that he had seen so often; he even managed to fight him before, and then it was very fun.
He accelerated, expecting a good fight. But he was quickly filled with disappointment when he dodged such a primitive attack, and a moment later his neck sent his head flying.
"First!"
Buzz.
Whoosh.
"Second!"
"Third!"
"Fourth!"
His joyful smile faltered a little, but did not disappear. For Kane, this fight wasn't too boring, it was just boring. One step above the monsters below tenth, and nothing more.
But his gaze quickly fell on a sword that was covered in orc blood; wiping off the blood, he saw that there were no scratches on it.
"Good sword."
He whispered to himself.
Putting it into its scabbard, he had too many doubts about it, but maybe the sword would prove itself better than he could assume. It was of such good quality that his main sword "Kopii", was nervously smoking on the sidelines.
"Maybe I shouldn't have killed him?" Kane wondered not out of pity for the adventurer from whom he had taken the sword, but because of the problems that this action might entail. Because of the quality of the sword, so his family certainly wasn't of a low class, since they could afford such a weapon for a newbie from their family. Why did he think he was a newbie?
He only needed to look at his movements, and especially at his face, which glowed with joy; probably because of his first descent. But if he's from at least a middle-class family, then why was he alone? Kane wondered, beginning to doubt the correctness of his actions. He didn't want his long-awaited freedom to end in an instant.
He certainly wouldn't be patted on the head for killing an adventurer. But, after thinking for a while, he just didn't care: after all, no one saw it, and there will always be newbies in the dungeon who overestimate their abilities. So why should he worry about such trifles? It's better to focus on having fun than to think about some loser.
Bang.
Hop.
"Almost hit me. I emphasize, almost."
Bang.
Hit.
"Are you ignoring me? Ai-ai, bad boy."
Kane's gaze lingered on the magic stone in thought: should he take it or not? Of course, he didn't have a backpack, but it was also possible to put it in his pockets. Realizing this, he regretted that he had only taken the sword and not brought a backpack. But there was nothing he could do about it: he couldn't bring back the past, because then he thought that a backpack would only get in his way.
"Oh well."
Catching the stone, he rushed into battle and the thrill of battle with renewed vigor.
Stopping on the fourteenth floor, he no longer risked going down, even if his body and feelings screamed about it. But, unlike his former self, who didn't have a mind then, he would have definitely gone down without thinking and died. But now he didn't want to end his fun.
After all, he can do so much: fuck beautiful girls as much as he wants - Amazons, humans, demihumans and elves. But, of course, it was a little difficult with the elven women, but to poke them in the ass; but why should he give up on that? And then he'll eat his fill - this is not life, but paradise. Ha-ha-ha, it seems he understood what he will be doing all day today.
Unable to calm down, he began to climb up rapidly, but first he had to throw away such a good sword. Even if he didn't want to, he had no choice. He was sure that this sword wasn't cheap, and maybe even a gift for a loved one. So this sword could ruin everything. Of course, he understood that he could just say that he found the corpse and picked up the sword because he liked it.
But he didn't want to deal with this hassle: he was just too lazy, and he didn't have time for it, his day was already fully planned, every second was accounted for. So he decided to get rid of the problems from the root so that no one would bother him.
"Goodbye."
Whoosh.
Throwing the sword to the first monster he came across, he accelerated towards the beginning of the fun.
But then Kane didn't know that everything wouldn't be so simple.
Jumping out of the dungeon like a bat out of hell, he immediately headed to the entertainment district, anticipating tonight.
"Ha-ha-ha."
But he was given a difficult choice: very much depended on this choice.
"And who should I choose? Amazon or demihumans, or humans? Who? The Amazons were so… Yes, demihumans are a good choice."
He always wanted to touch their ears and tail: this desire passed to him because of the secret fetish of "Kopii". After all, no matter how he denied it, they were one.
As he slowed down, he finally noticed the strange looks from the people passing by. When Kane caught their gaze, he became wary. He didn't understand what was happening and why they were looking at him like that. He stopped and examined himself—and found nothing special. His clothes, of course, were a little torn, and covered in blood, and dirt. In short, he looks like a bum.
"But that's definitely not the reason why they're looking at me like that."
We met eyes for a second, and I noticed how his face hardened in a second: his face was filled with tension, I even thought—one wrong action, and they'll attack me. Did they see an enemy in me?
From this thought, Kane's body unconsciously tensed; we looked each other in the eye until I looked away.
Kane's smile decreased a little. He didn't like getting so much attention to his person, and especially for an unknown reason to him.
But the answer wasn't long in coming. Approaching the nearest display case, I saw the answer to my question in the reflection.
"How can I forget about that? How stupid!"
Due to overexcitement, I completely forgot about the physical changes when I take control. Black eyes attracted too much attention, especially—unfriendly.
Changing the route, he immediately headed to the store to buy himself glasses. But upon arriving at the destination, I realized one unpleasant truth.
"I have no money…"
The realization of this killed his mood. After all, without money, all his plans related to money were simply impossible to fulfill.
So he immediately set off to solve this problem - namely, to go home, take equipment. But he immediately stopped, because he didn't have it after all. After all, "Kopii" was caught in the dungeon, and then raped, but our things were never returned.
"Bastards, damn it!"
He shouted deep in his soul.
