Returning home, he began to regret throwing away the sword, feeling it was a big mistake. He should have just ignored all his problems. So, all that was left for him was to just go home.
I could, of course, go to Naaza and ask for money, but the problem with my eyes and the corruption could give me away. And Miach might even guess – after all, one shouldn't underestimate a god who has lived not thousands, but millions of years.
Of course, that was just an excuse to not meet with the God. After all, for some reason, the mere thought of talking to God caused him an uncontrollable thirst.
"Or maybe I should kill him?"
He stopped in the middle of the street, lost in thought. His lips began to curl upward - the idea of killing a god was a completely different experience. But he quickly had to pull himself together: if he kills a god, the fun will last only a couple of seconds.
I don't know what might happen after killing a god. Maybe if Miach senses danger, he'll kill me with his divine power. Even if I manage to kill him, I'll quickly be killed and executed on the spot.
And why does it have to be Miach? After all, there are many gods in this world, and even more beyond – they were everywhere. If I could find a god who had left Orario and was exiled… would anyone find me? Even if this god has a family, it doesn't matter that much, because leveling up outside of Orario is a very difficult task to accomplish. Achieving the Second Level would already be a feat for them.
But he'll do that later, because right now he needed money for fun and sex. There were many ways to earn money, and the fastest one was the dungeons. Of course, he understood this, but he needed the money now. He was already thinking about solving this problem - he just needed to catch and kill someone, a newbie, to get some basic equipment.
And, of course, he would do just that. Why think about anything else when the solution to the problem was right under his nose? The main thing is not to get caught, and that's it. So, it's decided. But now he needed to recover. Even if he didn't feel tired, that doesn't mean his body wasn't getting tired.
Kane didn't want his body to just refuse to obey him in the middle of a fight because of simple fatigue. Even if he could completely squeeze everything out of this body, reveal it one hundred percent, he shouldn't do that. If his muscles tear or his bones break, he wouldn't even know about it. Simply because he barely feels anything.
No matter how many times I thought about it, I couldn't understand it, but I guessed – it was because monsters don't need it: no fatigue, no fulfilling the needs of their body. All monsters needed one thing - to quench their thirst at any cost. I've long guessed that it is impossible to do, because no matter how hard I try, it will only become stronger and more uncontrollable. But it wasn't that important. Why think about something he couldn't change? After all, it wasn't even that bad - an eternal goal or just emptiness in this world, just drifting along.
"I didn't want that. A life without purpose was too meaningless."
And with such thoughts, he arrived home. After taking a bath and quickly eating whatever he could find, he pounced on another problem.
"How do I fall asleep?"
Kane thought, only now realizing that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't fall asleep, because unconsciously his body was always tense. He didn't know how to solve this. But not for long.
"Cough…"
If I can't fall asleep the normal way, then I'll just lose consciousness. And the fastest and most harmless way is to deprive myself of access to oxygen. So, without hesitation, he began to choke himself. This was a very good idea, Kane thought, praising himself for such a brilliant mind.
Feeling his mind slowly fading, he felt for a second that the grip on his neck weakened. He unconsciously panicked that Kopii was taking over his mind, that his fun would end so quickly.
"Not even a day has passed. Bitch."
But it was a useless panic, because he quickly regained control of his hands and started squeezing his neck hard again.
But before he lost consciousness, one unwanted thought flashed through his mind.
"Am I really?"
But he didn't have time to think about it anymore.
Kane walked through the streets of Orario with a casual gait. He sported purchased glasses, which he had successfully stolen. But nothing terrible.
He walked, completely focused on his thoughts, more precisely, on what had happened.
After waking up, I couldn't even move a finger. Understanding this filled me with complete disappointment with what was happening. But that doesn't mean I won't try to regain control of the body back, which I managed to do pretty quickly.
And his disappointment vanished as if it had never been there in the first place.
Thinking about this incident, he wondered about one incomprehensible fact: if he copies someone again, won't he help Kopii return to his normal state, and the fun is over? But he couldn't join in, not talk to everyone, or control the skill, but of course he will to try, but that will have to wait until the evening.
But now, of course, to the dungeon.
Time later.
"Am I in awe?"
Kane thought, not finding a single adventurer who would be alone, without a team, without good equipment. Everyone he met was well-equipped or there were several of them. So he just didn't care about it and attacked two newbies walking in front. But then he changed his mind when he saw one of them hit a goblin, and a crack went along the walls. And his gaze was completely directed towards me, as if saying that he knows that I am following him, and he knows why. And this demonstrative gesture makes me understand what will happen to me if I don't stop. Of course, I understood this, and in the same second there was no trace left of me. But as I ran, I cursed them in my soul and at the same time was grateful to them. For a chance to leave. So they are only demi-humans.
Kane ran through the lower floors like crazy, killing all the monsters that came his way.
"What is this? A corpse?"
Kane ran until he stumbled upon a corpse and the smell of blood hit his nostrils. He couldn't believe what he saw - how lucky he must have been to find what he needed so much at the moment! He couldn't believe his luck, knowing Kopiі's luck - this will definitely not lead to anything good.
While I didn't even have time to think about what would happen to him, the answer made itself known when he had to dodge a blow to the back.
…
Kane grinned at the attacker. Rage and hatred were reflected in his eyes. He clearly misunderstood something. He could perfectly understand what he was thinking, but he didn't even give him a word to say to justify himself, as he began to attack me without interruption.
But, catching him in a mistake, I was able to push him away from me and reduce the distance between us.
"I understand how it looks. But I didn't do it. Do you believe me? No? …"
His face contorted with rage at my words.
Inhale.
He suddenly jumped towards me. He became faster, but not enough that I couldn't see it. He was at most the second level. I can even perfectly understand what kind of person he is. A person who cannot stand aside when villainy occurs.
Fuck, how well I read such low creatures. Ahaha, I'm perfect. But he didn't have time to think, as he had to dodge the onslaught of his rival again.
"Calm down."
Bang.
Hitting him in the stomach, depriving him of access to oxygen for a few seconds, he bent over, trembling, holding his stomach, trying to at least take a breath.
I smiled at such a pathetic sight, feeling power over him. This feeling was very intoxicating. Leaning towards his ear, I whispered:
"You're next."
Before he could look up, his head went flying and fell with a thud on the cold dungeon floor.
"Damn, how lucky I was."
