Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: The Martial Soul Is Actually...

Tang San looked at the increasingly strange behavior between the two people and wasn't sure if he should excuse himself—what was coming next didn't seem appropriate for minors.

He wasn't even eighteen yet. He probably shouldn't be watching content only VIP users were allowed to see.

Suifeng widened his eyes. He had only meant to joke around—could it be he had encountered a pervert? Could it be that Su Yuntao's supposed love for the female Soul Master Sisi was just a cover? A disguise for his perversion?

Otherwise, think about it—how many geniuses had Su Yuntao let slip through his fingers over the years? Why?

Behind layers of fog, there was only one truth—

Su Yuntao never wanted a promotion or raise. He just wanted to stay here as the "Soul Awakening Guide" and interact with cute children to fulfill his twisted desires.

That thought sent chills down Suifeng's spine. When he looked again at Su Yuntao's kind smile, he seemed the very embodiment of sleaze.

"Please don't, Master Su..."

"Don't be scared. Just take off your pants, and let Big Brother take a look. It'll be over in a second."

Tang San facepalmed—he couldn't bear to watch. Is this Douluo Continent???

It felt like he was seeing the continent in a whole new light. He hadn't yet seen through its true nature.

Su Yuntao and Suifeng were now tugging back and forth on a pair of pants.

"Master Su, are you finished with the awakening?" Grandpa Jack called from outside. He had been waiting a long time and was getting anxious. Awakening had never taken this long before.

All the other children had already come out—only Tang San and Suifeng were left. Left waiting too long with no answer, Jack finally walked inside.

He never expected to walk in on something that looked like Chang Wei beating Lai Fu—uh, Master Su undressing little Suifeng, while the child had an unwilling expression and clung tightly to the final boundary of modesty.

All three—Su Yuntao, Tang San, and Suifeng—froze and stared at Old Jack.

Upon seeing the scene, Old Jack's face turned bright red with anger. He never imagined Su Yuntao would be this kind of person. He'd misjudged him all these years!

"You… you… you—!" Old Jack's finger trembled as he pointed at Su Yuntao, so furious he couldn't even speak.

Su Yuntao finally came to his senses, quickly let go, stepped back two paces, and frantically waved his hands, signaling that it wasn't what it looked like.

"Old Jack, don't misunderstand! We've known each other for years—you know what kind of person I am!"

"Hmph! I didn't before, but now I do! You couldn't resist taking advantage of an innocent, cute kid like Suifeng!" Old Jack glared with contempt. "Tang San, Suifeng, we're leaving."

Suifeng pretended to wipe nonexistent tears from his eyes and ran to Old Jack, covering his face with a "wronged" expression.

Old Jack patted Suifeng's little head, comforting him: "Suifeng, Grandpa was late—almost too late to save you from that villain's clutches! Hmph! We're leaving. I'll report this to the Martial Soul Hall. I won't let you suffer in vain."

"Mhm, Grandpa, you're the best." Suifeng nodded, but the sly glint in his eyes betrayed his actual feelings.

The two left together. Tang San also followed them out.

"Hey... I was just trying to examine his martial soul," Su Yuntao muttered listlessly.

Tang San turned back with a surprised look. "So, you can explain it in one sentence???"

A single sentence could've solved everything—why did you have to make it so complicated???

"Tang San, Suifeng, what were your martial souls and soul power levels?" asked Old Jack. In their rush earlier, he hadn't had the chance to ask.

"My martial soul is Blue Silver Grass. My soul power... innate full soul power," Tang San answered honestly.

"What? Wonderful! Innate full soul power? Even though it's Blue Silver Grass, our village is finally producing a Soul Master again. Hahaha! Suifeng, what about you?" Old Jack looked expectantly at Suifeng—after all, the boy had always felt like family.

"Ah... I'm also innate full soul power, but my martial soul... I don't know." Suifeng's face held 30% helplessness, 30% confusion, 30% nervousness, and 10% improvisation.

"No martial soul? Impossible. It must just not have manifested yet," Old Jack said doubtfully.

"Yeah, yeah, that's what Big Brother Su Yuntao said too," Suifeng nodded obediently.

"…What did you just say?" Old Jack's eyes widened.

"Big Brother Su Yuntao said the same thing just now," Suifeng replied innocently.

"You mean to say Master Su was looking for your martial soul???" Old Jack's face darkened.

"Yep, checked a lot of places, and then tried to get me to take off my pants. I refused, and then we got stuck."

Old Jack looked awkward. "So... so that means…"

"Yeah, you misunderstood him," Tang San said flatly with dead-fish eyes.

"Ahem… so that's how it was. Tang San, why didn't you speak up earlier?" Old Jack looked so ashamed he wanted to crawl into a hole.

Tang San stared at him calmly. "You didn't give me a chance."

The air among the three grew even more awkward.

Old Jack quickly activated the adult's ultimate move: changing the subject. "Do you two want to go to school? Our village gets one spot every year. Other villages have to share a spot between two or three. Because we produced a Soul Sage in the past, we have that privilege."

He looked at both Suifeng and Tang San.

"Don't worry, both of you can go. Other villages often waste their quota since no one can cultivate. I'll just purchase an extra spot. That way, you two can look out for each other."

"Ah… school?" Suifeng's expression turned bitter. Running laps, morning exercises, eye massage routines... there was no escape from school life after all.

"Can I not go?" Suifeng blinked his adorable eyes hopefully.

Old Jack answered sternly, "No. Attending the Soul Master Academy is the only way to rise in this world. Of all paths, only studying is noble! End of discussion."

"Okay, Grandpa Jack. I'll talk to my father about it," said Tang San, worried. His father wanted him to become a blacksmith—would he agree to him going to a Soul Master Academy?

Old Jack confidently waved his hand. "Go on. If your father doesn't agree, come to me. I'll talk to him. I'm still the village chief of Holy Soul Village—my word carries weight."

Suifeng looked at Old Jack's inexplicable confidence and felt speechless. Is this the origin of "ignorance is fearless" ...?

After dinner that evening, Suifeng went to his room alone.

"System, show personal info."

Suifeng: Human (status: healthy)

Martial Souls: Radiant Divine Eye, Wind

Soul Power: Level 10

Skills: Drifting Steps (Beginner)

Weapons: None

Armor: None

Accessories: None

Items: Speed Charm ×3

Quests: None

"Huh? Why did the skill show up in the martial soul list? System, is this a bug?"

[No. The system matched the most compatible martial soul for you.]

"Then why is Drifting Steps still listed? If it's also a martial soul, don't I have three martial souls now?"

[You think you're worthy?]

"…What the hell. I'm a transmigrator! In other stories, they have triple martial souls, quadruple martial souls, and even eighteenfold martial souls. Why not me?!"

[Based on your aptitude, you're the weakest host I've ever had. You still can't even beat the protagonist.]

The system gave Suifeng a brutal reality check, hoping it would keep him grounded. If this guy went too wild, the system might end up buried with him.

"…Fine. But how can wind be a martial soul? Aren't there only two types—beast-type and tool-type? I can understand Radiant Divine Eye since there's precedent from the Body Sect, but how is wind even a martial soul? How will I get spirit rings?"

[No worries. All rings will be system-assigned. Premium quality guaranteed. Each ring and skill will be the best your body can handle.]

Hearing that, Suifeng was greatly relieved. That meant no need to risk his life hunting soul beasts—he wouldn't have to worry about finding compatible spirit rings either.
