Inside the encampment of the Hidden Sand Village.
Within a certain command tent.
"Lady Chiyo, according to your orders, we have already deployed the drug near the Konoha camp. We've observed the Konoha ninjas reacting exactly as you predicted," a Sand Ninja reported, kneeling on the ground.
"Mmh. Were you discovered by any of their scouts?" Chiyo asked, her eyes fixed intently on the ninja.
If Konoha discovered their ploy and decided to play along, they could easily pinpoint this outpost and surround them instead.
"No, Lady Chiyo. Not a soul saw us," the Sand Ninja replied, a cold sweat breaking out on his brow.
Chiyo's prestige within the Hidden Sand was immense. In truth, even the newly appointed Kazekage, Rasa, did not command as much authority as she did. After all, Chiyo had been a renowned figure across the Hidden Sand Village since the days of the Second Great Ninja War.
"Good. That is well," Chiyo nodded slightly. she believed him; if they had truly been followed, the Konoha ninjas would likely be attacking by now. However, there were no such signs.
"Miyamoto Yama, tell the men to stay sharp. Guard against any Konoha sneak attacks and be ready to evacuate at a moment's notice," Chiyo said, looking toward another ninja nearby.
"Yes, Lady Chiyo. By your command, the Sand Ninja are ready to either strike or retreat at any time," Miyamoto Yama replied. "Furthermore, many traps have been set around the perimeter of the base."
"Excellent," Chiyo nodded with satisfaction. "In one hour, we enter that camp. It will be for the best if the infection has spread. If not, we will eliminate those Konoha ninjas regardless. Due to the nature of its transmission and diffusion, my toxin will gradually weaken as time passes."
"Yes, ma'am!"
While the Sand Ninja were preparing their strike, over at the Konoha assault camp...
Tianyuan was busy researching the toxin, looking for a way to neutralize it.

Outside the command tent, a red-haired woman waited anxiously.
"Lady Kushina, please do not worry. Lord Tianyuan should have a way," a ninja said to her.
This woman was the head of the strike team Kushina Uzumaki, a Jonin of Konoha. Due to her unique Uzumaki Clan Physique, she had remained uninfected by the toxin, but the other ninjas were in bad shape.
"I know... but I still find it hard to believe Tianyuan has already become a Jonin," Kushina thought to herself. She remembered him vividly from his outstanding performance during the previous Chunin Exams. She simply hadn't expected him to rise to the rank of Jonin in such a short amount of time.
And now, they needed his help.
The infected ninjas couldn't be moved over a large area because the toxin could easily spread to others. They were forced to stay put, and a few Medical Ninja had been dispatched to treat them.
Naturally, there was no doubt that the Hidden Sand Village was behind the poisoning. Konoha had sent over a hundred ninjas to this location specifically to guard against a sudden enemy assault.
Just as Kushina was lost in thought, the tent flap opened and Tianyuan stepped out.
"How is it, Tianyuan?" Kushina asked, approaching him immediately.
"No problem. Here is the medicine," Tianyuan said, placing a test tube into Kushina's hand. "Just dilute this agent with water and have them drink it."
"That simple?" Kushina blinked in surprise.
"Did you think it would be complicated?" Tianyuan glanced at her, feeling a bit helpless.
"Alright, I get it." Kushina quickly ordered her subordinates to administer the medicine to the poisoned victims.
Tianyuan's newly developed reagent was incredibly effective. Within ten minutes, the ninjas' skin stopped festering, their Chakra returned to normal, and their spirits seemed fully restored.
"Now they only have superficial wounds. It shouldn't affect their combat ability much," Tianyuan said, looking at the recovered ninjas.
"Tianyuan, you really are amazing. Not only are you strong in battle, but your Medical Ninjutsu is top-tier as well. You truly deserve your reputation as Konoha's genius," Kushina praised from the side.
"Save the flattery for later. I've researched this poison; even if I didn't treat it, the patients would recover on their own after a few hours," Tianyuan noted.
"Then why did the Hidden Sand Village bother doing this?" Kushina asked, confused. If the toxin wasn't lethal, hadn't they wasted their efforts?
Tianyuan looked at Kushina as if she were an idiot.
"What are you looking at, Tianyuan?" Kushina snapped, noticing his strange gaze.
"Kushina, I assumed you had a functioning IQ, but perhaps I was mistaken," Tianyuan said flatly.
His words caused the nearby ninjas to stifle their laughter. Lord Tianyuan was truly an interesting character.
"Tianyuan! What do you mean by that?" Kushina's voice rose.
"Exactly what I said," Tianyuan replied calmly. "It means the Hidden Sand Village is likely about to launch an attack."
"What?" Kushina froze.
"By using this toxin, they ensured that the personnel here could not be moved," Tianyuan explained.
"Then we should..." Kushina finally caught on.
"We'll play along and catch a turtle in a jar," Tianyuan said with a cold sneer. Since the Hidden Sand Village wanted to swallow this unit of Konoha ninjas whole, Konoha would simply turn the tables on them.
A short while later.
"That is the Konoha encampment," Chiyo said, looking into the distance. She could see numerous shadows lying on stretchers, while a few Konoha ninjas looked visibly exhausted. Despite the sight, an ill omen weighed on her heart.
"Yes, Lady Chiyo," the Sand Ninja pointed forward. "And according to our observations, they only have about a hundred ninjas stationed there."
"Good. Attack!" Chiyo waved her hand.
Countless Sand Ninja moved rapidly toward the camp, no longer bothering to stay hidden.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
As the Sand Ninja neared the Konoha camp, violent explosions ripped through the air.
It was the power of Explosive Tags.
