After finishing all the arrangements, Peter didn't sleep. Instead, he went straight to his private laboratory to begin upgrading 2B Miss and designing his new combat suit.
His previous battle with the Green Goblin had taught him an important lesson—the necessity of protective gear. Even with his powerful physique and terrifying regenerative ability, Peter's body wasn't made of steel. And even if it were, facing an opponent like the Green Goblin meant he'd still end up battered and bruised by pumpkin bombs.
Though such wounds weren't fatal, the pain was real. That discomfort, that vulnerability, left a lingering unease in Peter's mind. To minimize injuries as much as possible, the best option was clearly to create a combat suit with high defensive capabilities.
The ideal material for a nearly indestructible suit? Vibranium—one of the four most powerful metals in the world. But Vibranium was exclusively found in Wakanda, a nation overflowing with futuristic black tech. With Peter's current capabilities, taking on Wakanda to obtain Vibranium wasn't realistic.
He considered another route—contacting Ulysses, the infamous arms dealer, to see if Vibranium could be acquired on the black market. But that would take time and wasn't feasible in the short term.
After thorough consideration, the best material available to him was still titanium alloy. However, titanium alloy had a major flaw: poor ductility. It was fine for crafting Iron Man-style armor, but converting it into something flexible and wearable like clothing? That was virtually impossible with conventional methods.
Unless…
Peter's eyes lit up as a solution came to him. If traditional methods couldn't mold titanium alloy into wearable clothing, he needed a workaround—nanotechnology.
Nanotechnology, in essence, involves breaking down materials to the nanoscale and then rearranging the particles through molecular interactions. This allows for the formation of any shape or structure while preserving the original material's physical properties. It also adds one critical benefit—extreme flexibility.
Nanotech was considered top-tier black technology in any universe, and its development required astronomical levels of expertise. Even in the Marvel Universe, nano-suits only appeared in the late stages of technological evolution, underscoring the complexity of such endeavors.
But Peter wasn't just any ordinary genius. With his scientific brilliance and research capabilities, this wasn't beyond his reach.
Driven by this idea, Peter immediately secluded himself in his lab and began his deep-dive into nanotechnology. Time flew. Three days passed like a blur.
During those 72 hours, Peter was utterly consumed by his work, skipping meals and sleep. His dedication bore fruit. Not only did he successfully create two nano-combat suits, but he also built a miniature nuclear reactor to upgrade 2B Miss's power system.
His efficiency was jaw-dropping—but that was largely due to the advanced industrial infrastructure within Kingpin Tower. Without it, even Peter's brilliance wouldn't have been enough to achieve such results so quickly. After all, even the most skilled chef needs ingredients to cook.
As soon as he emerged from his self-imposed isolation, 2B Miss and Felicia were there to greet him with updates.
"Any word from Tony Stark these past three days?" Peter asked.
Felicia shook her head. "Still nothing. But reports say the military has sent multiple search and rescue teams to the Middle East. I wonder what's taking so long."
"Still no news? Looks like I'll have to head over there myself," Peter muttered. "Let's hope nothing bad has happened. Otherwise, my two billion investment will go up in smoke."
Felicia's eyes darkened. "Yeah… three days ago I invested two billion in the stock market. But since there's been no news about Tony, the stock's been plummeting. We've already lost 300 million. If this keeps up…"
"It's alright," Peter said calmly. "As long as we don't sell, those are just paper losses. Once Tony is back, we'll make it all back."
"I hope so," Felicia said with a sigh.
"Anyway, how's Gwen doing lately?"
"I was just about to mention her," Felicia replied. "There's been no word from Tony, but your sweetheart's been making headlines."
"Oh?" Peter's interest was piqued.
"She's been wearing the Spider-Man suit you gave her—fighting crime across New York. People are calling her 'Spider-Woman.'"
"Spider-Woman, huh? That name really suits her." Peter smiled knowingly. Gwen getting superpowers and stepping into the Spider-Man role of this world was inevitable. He'd seen it coming from the beginning—that's why he gave her the suit, effectively serving as her 'golden finger.'
"You're smiling?" Felicia scowled. "Becoming a hero has its consequences. She's already clashed with the Green Goblin several times. I'm seriously worried she's in over her head."
Peter fell silent. Felicia's concern was valid. He knew firsthand how devious and dangerous the Green Goblin was. Even with his experience, he'd taken heavy hits from the Goblin's tricks.
Gwen, despite her powers, was still too inexperienced.
"I understand," Peter said solemnly. "2B Miss, while I'm in the Middle East, I want you to shadow Gwen. Stay hidden, but if something goes wrong—intervene. I've upgraded your reactor; you don't need to recharge anymore, so stay on 24-hour standby."
"Understood. 2B Miss will ensure Miss Gwen's safety and will not let you down, Boss," she said with a serious nod.
In these past three days, Peter had implanted a miniature nuclear reactor into 2B Miss's chest—hidden beneath her titanium-alloy sternum and virtually undetectable. Destroying it would be no easy task.
This tiny reactor could output 9 billion joules per second—outclassing even Tony Stark's palladium-core Arc Reactor, which could only manage 8 billion joules per second. Even Tony's later Arc Reactor, powered by a new element, capped at 10 billion joules.
In other words, without using any exotic elements, Peter's tech almost matched the cutting-edge power source Tony developed later in his career. It was a testament to Peter's incredible integration of multidisciplinary knowledge—something that even Tony Stark might not be able to match.
With a 9-billion-joule output, 2B Miss didn't need charging unless she used energy-intensive attacks constantly. It's worth noting that Tony's original Arc Reactor outputted around 3 billion joules per second—equivalent to 3 million kilowatts. That's roughly the combined output of 15 Boeing 747s flying at full throttle.
By comparison, 2B Miss was now a mobile high-energy arsenal.
Peter didn't stop there. He also outfitted her military goggles and palms with energy emission devices. Now, in addition to her lethal swordsmanship, she could fire laser beams and palm blasts like Iron Man.
She was no longer limited to close combat—long-range attacks were now part of her arsenal. And with the upgrade, the energy shield he had previously installed could now be activated dozens of times a day, up from the mere two times before. Its defensive power was strong enough to withstand direct hits from Sidewinder missiles.
In short, 2B Miss was now a terrifying humanoid weapon. So powerful, in fact, that Peter questioned whether even he could defeat her in one-on-one combat.
The only limitation? Her current titanium alloy skeleton. It simply couldn't withstand the full output of the nuclear reactor. Using her full power could damage her own structure and cause catastrophic system failure.
Peter's next objective, then, was to acquire Vibranium—specifically to replace her skeleton. Only then could she safely unleash her full potential.
But before that, he needed to rescue Tony Stark—because acquiring Vibranium would be insanely expensive. He needed Stark's cooperation to fund this next step.
