The sky over Herocity was black — not from nightfall, but from the smoke rising from the ruins of what once was the brightest city in the world. Shattered towers, collapsed buildings, dust floating in the air like the ashes of a collective funeral.
Amid the destruction, Ray Stormbreak stood tall, breath heavy, surrounded by wild lightning that tore the sky apart. The divine energy enveloping him — the Wrath of Zeus — made the ground tremble.
In front of him, Zaragon, the warrior of darkness, wiped the dark blood dripping from the corner of his mouth, smiling wickedly.
Zaragon (mocking laugh):"Do you really think… you can defeat me just because you got a little brighter?"
Ray didn't answer.He didn't need to.
He simply lifted his chin……and smiled.
A small smile. Confident. Deadly.
And then he vanished.
Or rather — he moved so fast that human eyes couldn't track him. The air exploded with the force of the impact, shockwaves kicking up dust and debris.
Ray appeared and disappeared in flashes of blue, striking Zaragon without mercy. Every blow echoed like thunder. Every movement was a sentence.
Zaragon could barely react.
Ray (thinking, panting):I need to finish this fast…My body still isn't adapted to this level of power…I can maintain this… maybe… for two minutes.
Ray spun in the air, gathering every ounce of strength into a single spinning kick that struck Zaragon's jaw.
BOOOOOOM!
Zaragon flew like a missile, crashing through three buildings before stopping, coughing blood and dust.
Zaragon (limping, hissing):"Hmph… looks like… you won't last long."
Ray landed, breathing heavily, hands shaking.
But he smiled.
Ray:"Yeah…"(his aura ignites, violent)"…but you'll die first."
His aura exploded around him.
Ruins of Herocity — Near the Main Battlefield
Dust clouds made breathing difficult. The air was hot, charged with residual energy.
Lorien Valtier and Rose knelt beside Kelvin, who lay unconscious, bloodied, barely breathing. Hayate watched from afar, silent and stern.
Footsteps echoed through the rubble.
Inavy, Darius, and Diana emerged from the shadows — covered in enemy blood, ash, and sweat. They had just broken through Tyrus' frontline.
Diana (panting):"Lorien… is Kelvin alive…?"
Lorien kept examining his little brother and student, worry etched in his face. He blinked, distracted, until Diana pinched his arm.
Lorien (startled):"Wha—? Diana… what did you say?"
Inavy (impatient):"We wanna know if he's okay, man!"
Rose (still holding Kelvin's wound):"He's alive… but in terrible shape. Internal and external wounds. He needs to rest."
Kelvin groaned. His eyes opened — weak, yet determined. He tried to stand, but Rose gently pushed him back.
Kelvin (gritting his teeth):"N-No… I can't stop now…Ray… he's out there…Fighting like that… because of me…!"
Inavy walked to him, crouching beside him.
Inavy (calm):"Hey. Don't worry.I'm going.""I'll help my father."
Kelvin tried to protest, voice trembling:"But… but—"
Inavy placed a firm hand on his shoulder.
Inavy (resolute):"Kelvin… leave this to me.I promise I'll come back."
Kelvin closed his eyes, fists tight — torn between pride and pain.
Lorien placed a hand on his other shoulder.
Lorien (soft voice):"Trust him.Inavy carries… something none of us fully understand."
A thunderclap echoed in the distance.
The final battle was beginning.
The End of Zaragon — Thunder Spear
The battlefield was a wasteland of ash, lightning, and craters.
Ray floated in the air, his divine form flickering like a dying star. His skin glowed with electric runes. His hair was woven from storms.
Zaragon, utterly destroyed, limped, spitting purple blood, his armor reduced to fragments.
Ray descended slowly, his aura flickering.
Ray (serious, low voice):"…End of the line."
But his knees buckled for a moment. His divine form began to fade. The glow dimmed. The thunder quieted.
Even so — Ray raised his daggers Raijin and Arashi.
The blades trembled.Then fused.
Ray (barely a whisper):"One last time……THUUUUNDEEEER SPEAAAAAR!!!"
Electricity roared, ripping the clouds apart.
Ray clenched his fist — and a spear of pure lightning, unstable and collapsing the air around it, formed.
The entire world felt it.
Lightning fell across every continent.Sensors exploded.Satellites trembled.
Over Herocity, a news helicopter hovered above the apocalyptic scene.
Reporter (shouting into the mic):"LIVE FROM THE RUINS OF HEROCITY…WE SEE OUR HERO Nº1, RAY STORMBREAK, FIGHTING LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!"
The world froze.
Every citizen watching screamed:
"RAY! RAAAAY! PLEASE, RAY!""BEAT HIM!!"
Ray threw it.
The spear sliced through the air…
…and struck Zaragon's chest.
KAAAAAAAAA-BOOOOOOOOM!!!
The explosion was like a nuclear blast. The helicopter spun in the air, barely stabilizing.
Smoke rose like a colossal wall of white.
The camera zoomed.
And inside the haze…
…a man stood, fist raised.
Ray Stormbreak.
Reporter (crying):"HE WON!!!RAY STORMBREAK WON!!!"
The world burst into celebration.
People cried. They hugged. They screamed in relief.
Ray then fell to his knees……and collapsed.
Ray (weak smile):"Heh… glad it's finally over…"
But the world of heroes never rests.
The Brother Arrives — Zion
The ground shook.
The air froze.
A colossal figure crashed from the sky, landing on the devastated field, holding something in its hands…
…Zaragon's ashes.
The figure was crying.A cry that warped space-time, cracking the earth beneath him.
Zion, Zaragon's brother.
Zion (broken, monstrous voice):"My brother…Why?!WHYYY?!?!"
With a scream that made the air recoil, Zion released his aura.
Ray tried to stand, body shattered, yet unyielding.
Ray (calm, defying death):"…Been waiting for you."
Zion roared, raising his arm to crush him—
A crimson flash cut through the air.
INAVY
He appeared in front of Ray, Chaos Blade in hand, eyes glowing with raw, living energy.
Ray smirked.
Ray:"Heh… nice timing, kid."
Zion looked at his brother's remains…
…and devoured them.
Yes.He devoured the ashes, the remnants, the essence.
Zion (roaring):"TYRUS!!!GRANT ME POWER!!!I WILL AVENGE MY BROTHER!!!"
The heavens answered.
A black pillar fell upon him.
Zion twisted.Screamed.Transformed.
Horns sprouted.Nightmare wings unfolded.Muscles tripled.Skin turned purple and black.
A vessel for Tyrus' wrath.
Inavy (glancing at Ray, teasing):"So… old man… can you still move?"
Ray cracked his neck, gripping his daggers.
Ray (smirking):"Never underestimate the old guard, son."
The cameras captured everything.
Headlines exploded:
"INAVY STORMBREAK ARRIVES ON THE BATTLEFIELD — FATHER AND SON VS TYRUS' NEW BEAST!"
The whole world watched. The world held its breath.
The storm had passed.
But the hurricane…
…was just beginning.
